Wish I had a wood stove. No where to put one. There is a place for a propane heater, need to get one.

I would love an wood cook stove. A family friend had one in their farmhouse when I was a kid. It was their primary heat source and they cooked on it too. (they also had a stovetop/range). There's nowhere in my house to put one. galley kitchen and stairs on both ends so I couldn't go around the corner into the living room (like the family friend's home was arranged).

Large cook stove was the only source of heat in our Amish friends house. Down stairs was one large room, upstairs were the bedrooms, with a floor vent per room. Heat rises, so it seemed very simple and wonderfully designed.

We have a wood stove, heats our house, havent turned on the heat in 2 years. Open stairwell to the upstairs so no vents needed

My grandma had a big old wood stove in the kitchen. Had a thing like a shelf with doors on top. A warmer. Anyway...year round, only, cooking device. Winter, hot full time, to assist pot belly in another room, to heat house. Those far bedrooms were cold!

The Mr. Buddy's with a 30lb (camper trailer size) can make a great short term fix. I've used one in the horse trailer and had to crack the door that goes to the back on a 28 degree night. You can get a 4', 6' up to 12' adapter hose.

I had to read this a couple times, I'm slow.. I couldn't connect Mr. Buddy and Can but now I understand . We have one of those blue flame LP wall heaters that I haven't hooked up, but is there if we ever needed to hook it up. They are pretty nice, requires no electricity to operate which is nice for backup
