thank you, and Oh it really was, and like I said we still have a few more things to get done. but yesterday was a great rest day.

Nice you're settled in -- garden and all!

I thought of all of you all along the way, and truly felt guilty for not checking in, but I had to keep my head down and in full ninja mode, I even busted out my chain saw to help with the wood cutting.

Yes! We just took a drive about 3 hours south of use to see the stuck barges-it is unreal. We were down there in June and the river banks were out about 4 ft farther than they should have been. Crazy how low the water is.

We haven't had any measurable rain fall for a long time.

What a nice rain we had yesterday and overnight. We haven't had rain since June.
The herb plants needed a nice slow watering.
I am back to the fermenting, I bottled up some fresh kombucha this morning, pickled some fermented beets I added some onion and AC vinegar, and my red cabbage kraut is almost gone so its time to make some more.



Have a great productive day, there is always something that needs to be done.

We are in San Jose for a job, but we heard that our place near Vancouver got ONE INCH OF RAIN!!! Oh My Gosh!!!!! I asked my DD to turn off our Orbit landscaping water timer. (she's been checking on the chickens every other day).

I'm not far behind you. I planted a couple of trees then just hung out with the animals. Was going to clean out the gutters and install some gutter guard but it's too windy. Besides feeding the crazy quackin' by hand was more entertaining, they quack me up .
