And, while ordering I found another one by Charles Dickens.
Here is the write up about it, I found it very interesting. I think I would like to have this one also.

Charles Dickens's other Christmas classic, with a new introduction by Dickens's great-great-grandson, Gerald Charles Dickens.
Charles Dickens wrote The Life of Our Lord during the years 1846-1849, just about the time he was completing David Copperfield. In this charming, simple retelling of the life of Jesus Christ, adapted from the Gospel of St. Luke, Dickens hoped to teach his young children about religion and faith. Since he wrote it exclusively for his children, Dickens refused to allow publication.
For eighty-five years the manuscript was guarded as a precious family secret, and it was handed down from one relative to the next. When Dickens died in 1870, it was left to his sister-in-law, Georgina Hogarth. From there it fell to Dickens's son, Sir Henry Fielding Dickens, with the admonition that it should not be published while any child of Dickens lived.
Just before the 1933 holidays, Sir Henry, then the only living child of Dickens, died, leaving his father's manuscript to his wife and children. He also bequeathed to them the right to make the decision to publish The Life of Our Lord. By majority vote, Sir Henry's widow and children decided to publish the book in London. In 1934, Simon & Schuster published the first American edition, which became one of the year's biggest bestsellers.

Inside work today -- which I'm hating! Weather ok but, some days you have to clean inside or bulldoze! :he so I'm breaking it up often as I can. 😔. Will need to take some stuff to dump...taking things to truck as I go along. Mean clean today :old. Washer, dryer and dishwasher going. This isn't my idea of fun.. Cabinets need reorg but not today!!!

I'd rather be cleaning the barn but, that's next week.

17 saved last evening \o/.

I slept like a rock again, woke Farm Babe, had 40 minutes to get to church. We made it to church on time, service was 3 hours and 20 minutes \o/

I cried last night and this morning. Not little weepy tears, full flowing river tears.

Pretty good article on beef grades, worth a read through.

P.S. Bessey was all about being patted on the neck and scratched behind the ears. She even turned and rested up against the fence so I could pat and scratch her back. First time that's ever happened. I want to believe she'll make gentle milk cow, after she has a calf ofcourse. I'll just have faith, she will.

That is all for now, enjoy your evening.

My wife was talking to me about hair sheep last night. I already know what this means... Hebrews 11:1

I would really like to know. What to do for hair sheep and do it somewhat right starting off.

I already know I'll need a livestock guardian (LSG) prefer a dog instead of donkey. I like those big white dogs, can't think of their name, great something? I know every farm I've been on those big white dogs love me, it's like I'm part of the family or something. When we picked up romeo, Dr. Do little had a bunch of them, three tried to get in the truck with me. But most animals like me, so no real surprise. Besides for snakes, they fear me, they should.

Worms and parasites kind of consern me, because I'm not sure how to detect, treat and how often for both.

What types a medicines (vaccines) do they need?

Do sheep need a special kind of grain? If so how much of their body weight do they need to consume daily? Graze + forage + grain?

I think I got fencing and gates understood well enough. Sheep/goat fence plus wire filled gates.

Would a 3 side open manger be good enough? Open to the east, I suppose is correct? Maybe a 12' x 4' or 12' x 6' or 12' x 8'? how big for a ram & 5 or 6 ewe's plus lambs and a LSG or two? Would like a small closed area to store grain and other things needed to care for them. That's why I'm thinking 12 foot maybe I need to think 16 foot? IDK...

Thanks

Wow! busy weekend guys. I completely checked out after Thursday night and spent it with the family. It was so nice here this weekend, in the upper 30s-kissing 40, that we had to spent every minute we could outside. Took the youngest sledding 2 days out at our property and did some wood clean up.

last night was the oldest choir concert for school, she did great and had a solo :)

DH bought me a dehydrator, nothing fancy but I think it will work just fine for our family--it is full of pears and granny smith apples this morning.

We are in a winter weather advisory starting tonight into Thursday morning, I have to go into the office (Twin Cities) on Wednesday, thankfully DH will be home and will drive me. I need to swap out my work laptop.

I am ready for spring, though I don't want to wish my life away....

Happy Monday all
