I got my errands done yesterday and after I trimmed and mowed the garden area, pulled a few weeds.
I need to fertilize with the liquid fertilizer/swamp water I made- its in the big orange/brown container by the corn image_17181441.JPG I think I am going to get 2 of my big canning pots and put what I need in them and haul it up to the veg. garden in my wagon.
A friend of mine, David Goodman has a video on how to make this
I got the jug off of Sportsmen's Guide.
Anyway- I dont know if I will get to it today-

I promised DH I would make homemade pasta and then- smoked salmon with homemade Alfredo sauce 🫣 I also nee to make homemade coconut pecan icing today for the from scratch German chocolate cake for Sunday.

Truck still in sick bayπŸ˜΅β€πŸ’« friend giving me a ride to DMV to get new tags....haven't been using it, so hadn't done. Added back to insurance last night. Then I'll get state inspection. Guess now I've learned my lesson -- keep the spare ready! Insurance cost is worth it. I hate being stranded. πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’«. No biggie except annoyance. At least I can drive while I'm "seemingly" rebuilding my fav vehicle. parts had to ship. DS doing "payback" workπŸ‘

Coffee and chores all done....just waiting. She's about 15 min out. I'm not used to this waiting.πŸ™ƒ. Nope. Open door, start a vehicle and leave.

I've dug and picked a couple of wagon fulls of Thistle. I kept thinking with their nice flower and actual good uses, that I should put them for sale on face book or whatever is trending now. I just need to put some words after it, like farm fresh, non gmo, all natural, "organic" and whatever else is going now. Then I can sell it by the ounce, they'll think it's great because it cost so much. The more woke/yuppy they are the more they'll pay.;)
I can also have the fresh dig/pick your own at a discount, for all the neighbors.

My farm truck hasn't been tagged or insured in years. Several years ago they remade our tags. No option to keep the old one. So I redid the insurance and tagged it, so you couldn't see the old tag from a distance and know I wasn't tagged. A couple of years later, they redid the tags again so the new cameras can see them, I mean to show OK's heritage. Farm only or pull a trailer, and don't go out at night. Take the other truck or DW's car to bring a can of diesel to run it.

Teasel was a big weed along the irrigation ditchbanks when I was a kid. I'd actually plant it to get some dried heads now as it works better for creating a nap on fabric and leather than anything man made. I have enough suede that it would be good for brushing clean.

Milkweed was the other big weed. Most are all gone back there because irrigation techniques have changed. Means don't see the monarchs anymore.
