Took a big part of summer but we got good grazing grass growing again. With all the rain this week and if it doesn't dry out again. We might get a second late season cutting of hay this year 👍

Great time at the fair today until the 4:00 downpour soaking us to the skin. Rain had not been in the forecast. Saw lots of critters, watched some steer judging, and smelled all types of animal poop in the critter barns. :hide

It's been a L O N G time since I've had sausage like that. Was it what I remember? Lip smacking delicious?

Good morning everyone,, wow, Saturday already,,

It is a very weird 62 out,,at 5am, dont usually stay that warm over night

Well I think the corn is official all done so its corn picking day. I have green beans coming and a few to pick, and the tomatoes for sauce are looking so nice - STUPICE and SAN MARZANO- Iam going to cut more oregano for my sauce

That is so, so true!!!! Plus gardening escapes the inflated costs. ☺️ No chemicals is a bonus. It's nice to NOT need the grocery store so much -- or at all. 🤣

Of course, I'm drinking coffee that I need from the store and not wanting to give up but, I could if need be. Yeah, I'd switch to morning milk. Drink a lot of that during the day anyway.

Sometimes I stop and think about what I DO BUY and could do without from grocery. Basically, about all I buy are staples -- flour, salt, sugar, vanilla, etc. Then occasional junk or convenience like crackers or chips. Meats, that I could raise -- have done or currently do.

Something we should do sometimes, in case SHTF. 😖
