The Porch
Super Self-Sufficient
Wonderful sermon today,
Came home, heated up the ham and made instant mashed potatoes and a salad,,, and here I sit,,
but have go shut the water off
Well that was a busy morning,Coffee at 7, and breakfast...0ut after, moved 30 goats into two different fields from ones they were in. Walked fences for a double check! Fed cats, chickens, goats to get grain. Milked girls and shuttled milk to freezer to chill. Back out to dump leftover water, refill with cold well water. Back inside.
I'll be in for several hours, livestock will lay in shade. It's only 88, so will only get a little warmer. Plus feel likes . Could be a lot worse...like trip digits yesterday. So far, so good.
It didn't seem that busy ....open gates and call the goats, most move along well. Walking a few acres was time consuming but, good exercise. . The rest is everyday normal. Of course, I didn't need to rush either. That was more enjoyable.
Wanting to do certain work makes it far more tolerable. It's why most of us still "do what we do" even with some complaints, we love it. I might option to cut back but, don't see a farm sell out for years.
