I weighed up the cabbage, 10lbs. I grew all but the 2 with red rubber bands.

got it all cut up and salted and it sat over night. I am doing my best to "just" follow the book, hahaha

And I made the brine and let it set over night to let more of the spice flavor soak.


I got the spiced cabbage all done


and then took 3/4 cup of starter out of my sourdough ,, refed it
and made sourdough dough, dough.


I let that rise over night

I'll be making up a pot of beans to make chili, hanging bedding & towels out on the line, hauling some wood chips today, mowing the little green grass and give it to the flock, baking off the bread, picking tomatoes , lettuce and squash, roasting a chicken, and what ever else comes up in-between. 1

Been a crazy week, for some reason my head was a day early on what day of the week it was. All day yesterday, I had to keep catching myself that it was not Friday.

Slept late again this morning, neighbor came over and brought me a dozen duck eggs. Much appreciated. Full moon, deer were active, dogs barked all night. Can’t convince them that deer do t eat sheep.
Won’t be taking ram lambs to auction, truck lights are squirrelly. Got to get that fixed.

He picked them up in July,, his year old male needs a bath SO BAD!!!
My DH does not want me to get goats, so,I am ok with that, I wont argue with him.

Is bathing a goat even a thing? what kind of soap would one use, would a goat even allow you to hose it down
