A not chore day for me except cooking dinner,,
So I got creative and made a desert, I mixed up my biscuit dough,, added 1/2 cup of sugar and 1/2 cup coco baking powder,, put 1/2 of it in the bottom of the baking dish and them some of the canned apple pie filling I made last year and then another layer of chocolate biscuit---- Ta-Da apple pie cobbler

Next no spray variety pears are ripening. I thought the pear tree was a starking but now I know it's not. I'm unsure what variety it really is. My neighbor said it was a volunteer

It's a medium sized, golden skinned pear with bright yellow highly sweet flesh and no grit at all. No wonder the wasps, hornets, yellow jackets and honey bees are all over them. any ideas what variety pears this might be?

Looks like it might be a Comice Pear.... very sweet and less "grainy" than some of the others...more rounded and shorter but has a typical pear neck...

Rain gauge says 3/8” and it is cool this morning. Thirsty ground soaked up every drop, no run off. We are supposed to have temperatures in the 90’s for a few days.
