We went with Teak rather than Bamboo for our bar, and with stone instead of Bamboo flooring for our bathroom in the old house. Bamboo is awesome but not good in water areas, so I'm told. The teak we got from lumber liquidators is awesome. I just love it.

We did end up getting bamboo in our bathroom -for the walls! (That was the old bathroom before we moved here.) It was very zen.

Congrats on your new flooring! Enjoy.

I was gonna throw in about the beans. I cook up the red pintos. Take a spoonful of animal lard. Heat it in a pan, Add a cup or two of the beans. Then mash em with a potato masher. Fry them in the lard. Add a bit of cumin and season salt. And viola! mexican refried beans from scratch. Then I sprinkle with chedder cheese.

Tasty and uber cheap.

:thumbsup oh and if you worry about the gas the beans create, throw out the soak water you hydrate your beans in and add fresh and rinse. You can also add a spoon of baking soda. thats supposed to help.

Added a second album with some new pics on the FB page :)

We have a second broody! :th Damn spring is sprung! :D Breda, our Black Laced Red Wyandotte (feel free to correct me if I have the coloring wrong) is sitting a clutch of 7 eggs, her first ever! And Mamma 2 is sitting a clutch of 9, her first ever! It was ten, but one got cracked, and then I poked the pencil in it when I was marking the eggs  :smack they are on seperate nests, so that's cool :)

ETA: Forgot to add, our bulbs are starting to peek through with greenery under our bedroom window! Thats awesome! :D

Trying to entice one of my ducks to go broody too. Can your hens give them a call :D. Only 8 eggs on the pile so far and nobody is going for it. I will add more tomorrow and see if anyone wants to play mom :fl

Lexi set for us last year and hatched out 5. Not bad for a first try!

I could replace the eggs that are under Breda since she just sat them today and put duck eggs under her, see if they will hatch? :D
