I am a person who wants more info. The ads that say "Eggs for sale 555-5555" are the ones I pass up. I want to know what breed, how they are kept, etc.
I would also rather give out as much as possible to avoid fielding questions when I am busy.
I know it wont appeal to everyone but I really appreciate the feedback.
P.S. Got a nibble!
Someone wants hatching eggs but will be out of town for a bit. Put that one in the maybe category.
I love all the info, you love all the info but....
I have found most people don't really want to know what they all eat.
Also I would make separate ads for eating eggs and hatching eggs.
Names are cute and would appeal to some people. Pictures of eggs and the ducks would help.
I always over describe my posts on craigslist and I always sell everything the day or day after it was posted...even ROOSTERS!!!!
I just went to a gathering at the local indoor farmer's market where the dairy owners (that I get my raw milk from) came to discuss their dairy. They started by describing each cow by name, and everyone in the room was quite impressed by that.
Very cute....I'd put the picture first, then the text. The pictures are adorable! That would make me read more carefully....actually, it make me go back and read more carefully, once I "knew" the ducks. Made me want some eggs!
just my input, and keep in mind I'm a WAY newbie to eggs, but I'd put a picture of the duck eggs in your hand so people can see the size. It wasn't until after you mentioned quail that I thought "Oh, those are quail eggs" 'cause I was thinking, those are way small duck eggs. (please don't throw anything at me)
I'm a very visual person, so I always look at the pictures and then read the words.
I think Craigslist only lets you put pics at the bottom
And for heaven's sake, don't post generic pictures from the internet. I have seen so many ads do this and I have to say that between that and horrid spelling/grammar those are my biggest CL ad turnoffs.
