I will no longer be responsible for anything I do or fail to do. It's the other guys fault.

Guess you missed my RS lesson on Sunday about agency. :p

Had horchata at a restaurant last night. Thought of your homemade recipe and how much work it sounds like. So? Is it worth it?

I was pleased with my horchata. I might need to filter it a little better because some the rice particles make it a little grainy. Not too grainy though.

Lesson 4? That's the lesson I'm teaching next Sunday, 21st. You're ahead of us.

Actually, it was only lesson 3, but that's the way the discussion went. I had to steer them away from the "how many of them for every one of us" speculating. I was just a sub.

Darned Olympics. Keeping me up late

I finally made it out to the coop to turn the chickens loose. After six of the seven came out I noticed some feathers by the run. I figured out who was missing and found it inside the coop still a little bloodied, frazzled, and in a daze. It appears that something tried to pull it though one of the few spaces in the 2 X 4" welded wire fencing that isn't covered by chicken wire. This spot is about 3 1/2 feet above ground level. This chick is still small, small banty sized. I'm guessing that something small enough to fit through the space yet strong enough to carry a small chicken tried to steall and eat my chick. First thought was weasel but maybe a mink.

I've been thinking about getting a game camera and now I'm thinking about also getting live trap.

On the brighter side. The sun came out today, blue sky and warm weather. I was working in a t-shirt. Split some more wood. Tried to prune the orchard. It needs a lot of work but I don't think we should do it all at once. Really enjoyed being out and listening to the sounds of nature.

Another nice day.

Chicken is still alive but not wanting to do much. I can't say I blame it.

Splitting more wood. Splitting maul isn't as fast as a hydraulic splitter but it keeps me occupied. Maybe I'll cut up some of down trees and trees we need to cull.
