Pet Health multi for dogs and also I give the OPC's with glucosamine for dogs and cats to all my dogs and cats. Makes a huge difference. Here is my website (I like the products so much I became a distributor....my MD actually got me on the people versions originally! :p ) www.marketamerica.com/freemotion

Scroll down and you'll see the Pet Health logo (green with a pic of a dog) and click on it.

And your mileage may vary......it is not a claim of the manufacturer that your dog will no longer have poo breathe! Worked for me, though.
Does that mean I get it from you?

Dogs are carnivores. Instinct tells them to eat poo (to cover dog breath) and roll in poo (to cover dog odor. Much as a hunter uses a scent mask). It is to help them hunt. Notice they almost always eat the poo of prey species... well ... and those delicious litter box "kitty crunchies"! :drool

Prey species??? I don't think my dog eats poo. So does that mean hes on top of the food chain around here?

I would think they eat it if they are deficient in something, no??? Kinda like eating dirt.

No they eat it cause it TASTES sooo darned delicious! :drool

:sick

Dogs and other animals WILL also eat dirt, various plants, bark etc - that is usually when they are feeling deficient.

You pup probably doesn't eat poo because he is too civilized. I mean that genetically. ;) It seems to me the bigger dogs and less man-made dogs do lots of things more like their wild counterparts the wolf. We had a Siberian Husky female that even would hike her leg and spray mark trees!!

I have to agree. I think they believe gross stuff tastes good and it is a normal thing for a predator to feel that way. I do think certain breeds behave closer to a wolf, more wild.

The farm vet came today. What a sad day on the farm.
Princess- more than likely Cl+, poor shape, heavy worm load and lice. I was told she should be on antibiotics and dried off because she fears that she is wasting due to the CL.
Daisy- more than likely CL+ due to the fact that she has a lump in the same spot and a new one starting on her jaw, poor shape, heavy worm load and lice. Told to dry her off too.
Yvonne- Older than thought, missing teeth, pink eye, poor shape, congested lungs, neurological problems (stargazing)and lice. Can't tell if prego or not due to the immense amount of matted wool.
Bessie- Older than thought, also missing teeth, poor shape, can't tell if prego cause of wool.

So I guess I bought lemons........

:hugs Oh, man....I'm so sorry. :hugs

While this sucks completely, make it a learning process instead and keep your chin up (as high as it can be right now). Not all people are out to sell you lemons. Just gotta find them.

Next time you are buying livestock, explain up front that your vet is on retainer and will be out shortly to verify health.
That will weed out the liars real fast.

For now though, I would serve the other farmer with the vets findings.
Along with a nicely couched threat.
