Thanks :) We may get a decent rain yet down here. Most of our rain is in the winter.

That Kentucky pawpaw should do the job nicely. The baby ones are clones that come up from the mama's roots, so they can't pollinate each other, but little Kentucky could pollinate them all when it starts blooming.

That broody hut looks good. :thumbsup I hope she's a great mama for you. New chicks are adorable- especially if somebody else is taking care of them. Free is a big plus too.

Having a lazy day today! Well, not so much lazy as slooooow. Got my hair washed, critters are all fed and watered and I've been trying to get pix of the Summer Tanagers, Indigo Buntings and what I suspect is a Great Crested Flycatcher. The birds just aren't cooperating!

Docs' week off starts tomorrow but we have to go into work to get our Biometrics tests done for the health insurance. Yipee! Is it over yet???

I'm hoping ChaChi will be a good momma. She went broody last year, too, but the snakes got her clutch of eggs before I could get her a seperate area fixed up. :/

Once the area that the Chick-n-Barn is in gets shaded, I'll head out with my lops and swing blade and work on reclaiming that area. :D May as well post a "before" picture...you can barely see the barn for the jungle.

Will be picking more berries this eveing, too. It should be a nice haul since I didn't pick yesterday! :fl

Hope you get some pics of the birds. I'll be going canoeing on Saturday w/a group looking for birds. I'm hoping to get some good pics.

I got a bit of the jungle lopped back and got distracted by.......you guessed it...the blackberries! :gig Managed to get a good quart full picked today so my gallon freezer bag is nearly full! :celebrate

Since we'll be running tomorrow afternoon, I guess I'll try and pick some more in the morning. Still have tons of unripe berries so it's looking like we'll get a nice-sized, long drawn-out season for them this year. It will definately make up for no berries at all last year! :celebrate

No luck with bird pix today so I'll hide in the bird blind (aka outhouse) with the camera the next time.

Survived the Biometric tests for health insurance, yesterday! :D Now to deal with the life coach! I'll tell them what they want to hear while smoking a cig and drinking something with alcohol in it! :gig

Left there and went to Cave City to pay off and pick up the new (to us) Enterprise Press then off to Mom's for the civilized visit. The family loved the press! :D I'll get some pix of her after doc gets her unloaded from the Buick-truck!

Mom and I went back to sis', she wanted me to look at the garlic for her. The tops are beginning to die back but the bulbs just aren't filling out. :barnie I'm finding it amusing that the store bought garlic performed better, growth-wise, for us last year! :gig

Got home from there and my aunt showed up. We asked her about her blackberries and learned that the County mowed them all down when they cut back trees from the power line right-of-way so we're backing up and regrouping on our quest for 30 pounds of berries! :barnie

Mom made quiche for dinner after everyone finally left. First time I ever had quiche and I loved it!

Got our meat order seperated into freezer bags and are totally happy with what we scored for $32.00.

Well, I need to get off of here and get something done!

Hoping everyone has a great weekend! :hugs
