DH says it's only worth it if I fall in. 🙄 we didn't bring phones since it was our first time out and we were expecting to get wet. Next time!

i still wouldn't bring them because they're expensive if lost or damaged and you have a lot of variables on the water with a dog and other people and ...

Good day here. I picked up Roz this morning. TBH, I don't want to take her home. She makes me so happy. :love I volunteered at the shelter to make sure my problem child (dog) there is ready for adoption. (He is.) Bought milk and right back home. I turned in a document this morning so I have been focusing on housework. I'm starting to catch up and get past the daily maintenance cleaning. I changed the shower curtain, cleaned the microwave and the dishwasher filter. 💪

Another good stay-at-home day with Roz :love I kept her overnight. :D She had a couple little conflicts with my dogs yesterday. She is used to having to defend her resources against the other dogs she lives with (one bossy dog in particular) so I believe she just needs a chance to remember that resources (beds, bones, food, people who snuggle) are not a limited resource here. Resource guarding is due to competition, and it is not a constant trait - it changes based on the relationship a dog has to other people and animals and availability of resources. I am not concerned.

Garrett is modeling the communication buttons for Roz. He is showing her Pet and Want Pet. :love Boi is jealous of Roz getting pets and brushing, and he started using buttons to say so. He also used buttons to try to talk to Roz, saying All-done when she was chewing on a hoof. :gig I gave him a giant rawhide bone to pacify him.

Cleaning continues...
  • dining table cleared "all the way" and washed.
  • pressure canning bone broth
  • Roz brushed and trimmed so she's not shedding too much in my house
  • Boi bathed - he was too stinky to pet!
  • laundry continues
  • dishes are endless
  • vacuuming and sweeping are endless

It's >90 degrees today, so DS15 is starting to bathe his fair sheep. First bath is done. He is walking her until she is dry. 2 ewes to go, and he needs to clean the barn and put fresh bedding down. He needs to bathe the sheep at least once a week for the next month. He also needs to shear them and someone (probably not him) needs to trim hooves.
I'm scheming to borrow Roz until the county fair. DS15 could train her and show with her instead of Baymax. Baymax can't handle the heat, so she can't do much and probably can't show. Got a superintendent's approval. Pretty sure Roz's family will say yes. DH is less likely to be okay with it.

Roz is settling in. She is easy! She has a little concern at times, and Boi is acting less "jealous." She is stressed out by a collar so I tried a Y-front harness on her. That wasn't much better. I got an EasyWalk harness for her and it's a dramatic difference! Much better!

I worked on computer tasks and adulting for 16 hours yesterday. 😖 Didn't even get to paid work or finish my to-do list. But I feel much better! Now my housework is neglected 😅 and I have a document deadline on Monday 😑
