Today's going to be another horrible day. It only got down to 75* last night, and is already 85* out. I had planned on riding my bike to the farm this morning, but no such luck. And, it made no sense. When I put it away last time I rode, I had switched over to the reserve tank. I can get several more miles after that. The most I've gone is just over 150 miles, and the most gas I've put in is 2.45 gallons. The tank holds 2.8. I got as far as the street, and my bike shut off. I had gone a total of 146 miles. So, I don't know if something else was up, I have a leak, or what. I had to take the truck, and I got some gas for the bike on my way home. I'll ride it to church this morning, and see what happens.

RU is away, so that means I have to feed her horses this afternoon. I'm not looking forward to that. That means, I have to stick around at the farm for awhile this afternoon. Normally on Sundays, I give Stormy his 2nd feeding, do a few other things, and leave. Takes me about 15 minutes. Won't happen today. :hit

I counted the eggs in Roxi's nest. There's 12. I think I might switch some of them out for some of Angel's eggs. Then, if she does get broody, and hatches them out, I will have gotten chicks (hopefully) from all 3 hens.

B4 I left, I tried something. I'm wanting to get more weeds dug near my tack shed. There's a ton of spiny pig weed in front of it. So, I decided to see how it was digging them out early, rather than trying to do it once I get done work. It worked well. So, starting tomorrow, once the horses are fed, I'm weeding until I need to leave for work. Then when I get back, I'll work on cleaning the pasture.

Well, I have to get off now. I need to get a shower, then head out to Sunday School. Don't want to be like OFG and be late. :tongue

That's what I wondered, but it would not have been easy to get out, nor would they have gotten much. Plus, I think we have a can w/gas out in the open, I just can't use it in my bike-wrong octane. So, I don't know. :hu

In other news, when I was coming home from church, I was in a hit and run on my bike! I had a feeling that this was going to happen, so I was already slowing down. But, I wasn't slow enough, and got run into on my left side. Then, the no good turned tail and ran off w/out even stopping! I wasn't hurt, and mainly just shook my head. They just hit my boot, and just barely at that.

Holy cow! are you sure you are okay? Maybe you should take it easy for the day, stay out of the heat, make sure you aren't alone. How hard did they hit you?
Did you get a license plate number or make a police report? Sheesh!

There wasn't a license plate. Like I said, they just hit my boot, and ran off.

You should still make a police report. You may feel more hurt in a few days and need to establish that it happened. My husband and I were in a car accident that was fairly serious but we all three walked away....we thought. Three days later, both Hubby and I woke up on the morning of that day almost unable to MOVE and we both had to have physical therapy for months and months. My back has really never ever been quite the same again. But the reason I bring it up is that when your body gets bumped hard or whipped around, the effects can be felt a couple days later more than the same day it happens or even the day after.
Also, the police need to establish patterns of crimes and when you report this, it may be part of an overall pattern that means things to them you would not expect. I lived in a neighborhood that was full of petty theft at one point, it was mostly the same kids and it wasn't until we got a neighborhood watch group and everyone reporting everything that the police were able to solve the crime.

SO true.

Hubby was in a car wreck while on the job two weeks ago. He is still on light duty, because of injury to his neck and shoulder.

Besides that they may have been drunk or stoned and had another wreck a few miles down the road. If you can at least describe the vehicle it will be helpful.

OK, the "vehicle" was gray and furry, just a few inches tall and just a few inches long. I NEVER said it was a car. :hide
