Yikes. I am glad nothing bad happened due to the changes in feed. Pretty crazy that they couldn't keep up with it. I try to make it as simple as possible when we leave town so that the person watching doesn't have to worry too much, but sometimes they just don't get it.
This is also why I REALLY want to have more than one set of people on our farm so that there are people to handle things so we can go away and take vacations and vice versa. I can dream can't I?

Glad you are cleared to drive!! I hope your therapist is a good one, I loved mine (despite all the pain she put me in!!!!) and it makes a world of difference.
Hurray for progress! (boo for getting forgotten... at least you were somewhere sort of comfortable...)

I had it REAL simple for caring for the horses. Everyone's feed is in a bag. The supplement I give Stormy for his heaves as well as the rice bran are in his bag, and the hay pellets are in another bag. (It won't all fit in one bag) I left a knife for cutting up the apples. The cat food was in a container marked cat food, and I spent the extra money to get the little cans of cat food so they wouldn't have to do something w/half a can from the big cans. In actuality, it takes me less time to feed my animals than it does to feed their animals because of my set up. When I go on Sunday mornings B4 church, it takes me about 10 minutes to have everyone fed, if that. And, to give Storm his 2nd feeding, it's easy, you just put everything in the feed dish outside of my field and do something else. That's normally when I clean the litter box and give the cats their canned food and clean out his hoof.

Today, I'll be doing some housework, then going out later and giving Stormy his 2nd feeding. I'm hoping that he gets his first feeding early enough. :/ I'll be so glad when I get feed em myself! Right now, it's just too wet and muddy for me to even try. If the ground was dry, that might be a different story.

ewww, you be careful about the bike for a bit--only because if for any reason you even take a small tumble, or heavy lean to the side and have to save with your leg you could hurt it immensely.

you recover you inpatient gal :p I don't blame you tho...I would be just like you. being still isn't an option is it?

Nope, but I'm being good. I don't have any desire to reinjure my leg, and since I'm just barely able to walk w/out crutches, and still don't sleep all night, I'm not taking any chances. Right now, I'm ready to go back to bed. I was up at a little after 1:00 w/it.

Thanks. It's raining right now, so I'm kinda glad I'm not able to do anything outside. However, the weekend is supposed to be nice, so I just might need someone to sit on me.

I feel a little bit better. I just talked to KN. And, while she didn't read my note (nor call me about the hay pellets), she was giving him some. She was just scooping them out of the container I had and refilling the bag. But, she didn't know how much to give him, so she just gave him what she thought looked right.
