Can't believe I missed that your hubby did dishes!! WOW!!

Yeah you need to take it easy though Deb. Offer to do the dishes if he'll haul in the wood

He ain't going to do the wood. I was lucky he did the fire for as long as he did. He has a bad back. And, rather than doing what he needs to do to get it strong, he just watches how he moves since if he moves even the tiniest little bit wrong, he could blow it out. Last time he did that, he was off work for about a month. Drove me nuts!

And I'm being careful not to overdo it. W/the exception of Friday, I take long stretches of time when I do nothing but sit in front of the fire and play on the computer or read. I'm so used to having to watch how I do things that I automatically adjust as needed to get stuff done. This isn't the first thing I've had that I needed to watch how I moved. And, the therapist was quite pleased w/how it looked today.

That's why. I think he wants me to feel sorry for him. I don't. Instead I keep telling him to go to the doctor. I have enough to do w/out tripping over him.

sounds a bit like mine ;) Mine will do dishes though, and does every week, three nights are his, and 4 nights are DD's, and I always cook. I really really hate dishes

I've gotten to where I don't want to cook for him. More often than not he'll say that's not what he wanted for dinner and will make himself something else to eat-and leave me the dishes. I've seriously thought at times that we need to have a duplex, and each live in one side. Then, he could be responsible for his own cooking, cleaning, etc, and I could be responsible for mine. And, I could have the dog and cat I want in my house and he wouldn't have to worry about having any animals in his house.

Hmmm... This sounds very familiar!

I'm glad I have a good relationship with mine...MOST of the time anyway. Sorry you two have a somewhat different experience. Mine drives me nutters but I wouldn't want him to live elsewhere :hu

We too get along most of the time. I wouldn't really want him too far away. Next door would be perfect! If I had a bedroom door, that would work too. ;)

Well if I could I'd send you a bedroom door and Deb a puppy and a kitten and some duct tape for her DH's mouth  Maybe then everyone could get along better :p

The only major issue me and DH have ever had was with DD14, and we're getting that worked out since he has been home and SEES for himself what a little troll she can be :p She has gotten better too now ;)
