I have to wait until it is dark outside and all the lights are out when I do it even with a 100 watt lightbulb. Otherwise I can't see a thing in a brown or green egg. White eggs are so much easier.
I just candled my wyandotte eggs again tonight. They all 11 seem to be developing! I won't know about the other 11 for another day or two. I hope they are blrw's!
Well, I tried the tube. And, in most of them, I could see a dark mass. But, since I don't really know what I'm looking at, I don't know if it was what I'm supposed to be seeing or not. Less than 2 weeks to go, though.
They changed the forecast for today. Instead of showers early w/rain arriving in the afternoon, it was raining by the time I got done therapy. It wasn't very heavy, but it was steady. So, I got a bit wet feeding the horses. I just hope they're going to be OK. It's also colder than they were calling for, and I didn't get their blankets on them. But at least, it is supposed to be warm tomorrow. Once I had the horses fed, I left.
Yesterday, I closed out a savings account I had in a bank. I've gotten disgusted w/the bank. I also have a checking account there. I got the accounts because they have interest on all accounts. But, if I don't use my checking account, they charge me a maintenance fee as well as a fee for having a visa/check card! And, the interest doesn't even come close to the fees. I've been wanting to get a bit ahead on feed so I don't have to go to the feed store as often. Often I go one week for Stormy's feed, then the next week for Misty's then the next for chicken feed, etc. So I got what I need until the next time I need to get Stormy's feed. The rest I used to open a new checking account. Hubby never knew about the other accounts-I had the statements sent to a PO box. These statements are going to be sent to the house. And, I don't care if he does get upset.
From the bank, I went back to the farm. I expected Stormy to meet me at the gate like he normally does. Nope, no sign of him. So, I got some feed bagged. Still no sign of Stormy. And by now, it was really coming down. So, I put on my much boots, dumped his hay pellets in the bucket, added just a bit of water and went in the field. He had NO desire to come out today! He followed me to his stall and I fed him in there. He may share it w/Misty, but that was a chance I had to take.
Rerun decided it was just too wet for her to be out. Normally, she won't stay in the tack shed for long. But, she was in there while I was bagging feed growling and cussing Cindy out. She went out at one point in time, but when I opened the door, she couldn't get in fast enough! She was still in when I left. I'm wondering how long she'll stay in.
Got home, and took 1 bag of feed out of the truck. It wasn't raining as heavily, and I needed to feed the goats. So, I took out the goat feed, stuck it in the feed can, fed the goats and got in the house! I was both cold and a bit damp. Now I'm sitting here doing nothing but playing on the computer and watching Murder, She Wrote. And, I'm still a bit cold!
