I've been wanting meat birds. Can't find them :/ and yeah, TSC folks sometimes are not even as smart as the chickens they sell :p
In defense of one TSC, the one in Albion, MI had the brains to hire a 'retired' farmer - his son took over, and he wanted something to do - poor guy runs around like a chicken with its head cut off (get it? cuz we're talking chicks?! I crack me up! :gig ) because EVERYBODY taps him for answers.
 yeah they hire semi intelligent folks around here. I've been to some though...closeby, and folks hadn't a clue  That poor man!!

I've been learning how to get the pics out of my camera and onto my computer. (Hubby finally showed me instead of just doing it himself.) So, I have some pics of some of my animals.

These are the goats, Brown Sugar (Sugar) and Gidget. This was when they were helping me clear up the yard. I just wish they had eaten the poison ivy I didn't see there! I have it on my hands, face and neck. (Including right around my eyes.)

Roxi's been hiding her eggs. I finally found where she's been laying-at least for this week! I've left her alone for now since last time I took eggs from her, she moved where she was laying them and I couldn't find them. Since she's black, she may be a bit hard to see, but she's hiding under some branches-about 10, 15 feet in front of my tack shed!

These are the 2 chicks I had hatch out.

And, here's all 8 little fuzz butts. Hubby likes them, so he's not complaining about them being in the kitchen-even though I have the light clipped onto one of the cabinet doors.

Great pix, Deb! :D

I swear I could smell the Pine Barrens from that last pic! ;) It almost made me homesick for the Pine Barrens.

That last pic is from when I went canoeing on Monday in Iona Lake. I've finally found a link to a good map! If you zoom in on it, at the end of 7th Ave is a little pond. I call it the hidden pond. Of course, it's not really hidden since you can see houses from it. When I have time, I'll be beaching the canoe, locking it to a tree, and doing a bit of exploring. I might be nuts, but I got to wondering whether it would be possible (if I had the money) to buy several acres there, clearing what I need, and building a house and barn. As long as it's not all swamp, it would give me what I want-a place to go canoeing w/out having to haul the canoe someplace, and a place to go riding where I don't have to haul my horse. Plus, it's close to church, the nature center, my parents, etc.

Beautiful pictures, especially the lake. It's so green. 'Most everything is brown round these parts at the moment.

Getting pictures onto the computer, that's always going to come in handy. I'm still yet to work it out for the mobile phone, or anything other than a camera. (There are so many things that take pictures these days...)
