YAY!!!! Sounds like you're doing good!!!
Awesome on the manure. CL and Freecycle are great ways to get rid of extra manure! We have not had to pay to have it hauled off in a while now that we've got our tractor.

Hilarious about the chicken poop, too!

Happy Anniversary, and congratulations!

Just got back. We went out to Long Horn for dinner. I couldn't resist. I wore a good pair of jeans (no manure stains) my "bling" belt w/the nice buckle, a nice, western style shirt, my cowboy boots and my cowboy hat. I thought for sure I'd get some strange looks, got none.

Thanks for all the congrats.

SS, both hubby and I are the funny, smart mouth type when it comes to cards. We used to do the sappy, mushy cards in our younger days. But, we've been married too long for that, I think. Hubby keeps insisting it's 30 years, but it's not.

Oh, and I'm no longer putting up w/crap from him, and it's made a big difference. Saturday, he got drunk. And, while he didn't get nasty, he wouldn't leave me alone. I finally yelled at him. :hide It worked. Sunday afternoon, he spent the day working on my chicken house. He was supposed to do it on Saturday, but didn't. He has most of it done, and it should be done for Saturday. :ya

Got some of my garden ready. I really need to get more done. I have to get my spears thinned. W/all this warm weather, I'm afraid they'll come up early, and then I won't be able to do it until fall. But, I can't do it until I get the garden ready. I think I'll get to the farm early tomorrow. Then, I can get home early, and work in the garden in the afternoon.

Got a small section of fencing done at the farm today. I had a small piece that had to be done on the section of fencing nearest to RU's house. There was a cattle panel up, but Honey been pushing against that. And, I KNOW her. She'll bust cattle panel. I had planned on doing that little section last, but it got done today. If she had busted that, my horses would have been out, and I would not have been happy. I'm hoping I can get the hydrant in tomorrow, then do the last section of fence as well as move a gate on Wednesday. By the end of the month, if this weather holds, I should have all of that done, as well as having my chickens where they belong!

Hubby was sitting back, watching TV and came up w/the bright idea that he'd like to hold one of the chicks while doing so. So, I went and got his favorite one and a paper towel and handed them to him. He really enjoyed it. He's hoping this one is a pullet and not a cockerel. But, I've been told if it is, I'm not allowed to eat it. Here's a couple of pics.

In other news, there are not enough hours in the day. I got the hole dug for the hydrant, but didn't have time to get it in place. I did some house work, and worked in the garden. But, I didn't get everything done that I wanted to. I really wish I didn't have to leave in order to care for my horses. I'd get so much more done if I could just stay home.

He's liked that one since it hatched out. I'm thinking it might be a pullet. Time will tell.
