Getting there. And, I went out and checked on my plants again. I have 2 types of tomatoes coming up, peppers and broccoli! :ya I was late getting them in, but since I might be working this summer, I don't mind. After all, I'd rather not have to worry about putting stuff up if I'm working everyday. :/

After having several days of temps well above normal, we're back to spring. Today only got to about 60*. And, it was so windy, I could have sworn I saw CL and Dawn go flying by! DH was going to take the back tire off my bike-it's so worn it's no longer safe!-but didn't want to play w/it in the wind. Once off, it will go to the shop, get a new tire on, then go back on my bike. I'm hoping I have it by Thursday. The weather's supposed to be much better by then.

Tonight, it's going to be cold. I'm not too worried about what I have in the green house-I have a heater going, but this could destroy the peach crop in the area. The trees are in full bloom. And, it's about 3 weeks or so too early. I also have a fire going for the first time in several days. I'm probably going to have to cut up some more wood. I probably won't need a fire during the day, but will probably need it at night.

The nuggets are getting big! Today I tried an experiment w/them. I found several worms, and put them in w/them. They were so funny. At first they didn't know what to think, especially when 1 started to move towards them. Then one of them got brave and grabbed it. Then, it had to run for it's life from all the others! But, they ate all of them.

Got to the farm late today. I just don't want to go. I want to be able to stay home all day long. I want all of my animals on my own property. I've been praying and praying about it, and it can get really discouraging. When we got this house, we were only supposed to be living here for a few years B4 looking for acreage. Well, that didn't happen. We've been here for almost 25 years now. I want out. I've looked at land in the past, but haven't found anything I really want, plus we owe too much to move. We're trying now to get things paid off, but it's taking longer than I'd like.

I had to go around putting straw on everything I could - they are saying 23-28 tonight here :/

90% of the fruit trees in this area are still in closed bud, so I'm hoping they'll make it. :fl

It is SO frustrating staying someplace that you're not happy with. You have FAR more patience than I do though. Four years is DH's/my limit. If it still isn't what we want/can live with in 4 years, we're out. Usually, DH has decided he can't live with it before then, and I am given a list of his 'must haves' and told to start looking. We never find even half of what's on his list! So, we move anyway, and it starts all over again! That can be a whole 'nother form of frustrating

Chickens with bugs are so much fun to watch! Better than any TV show by far!

I hope you can resolve your home and animal situation soon. I can only imagine how frustrating that must be! Glad you are having fun with your little ones though!!!:D

I waved when I blew by... :frow ...CL was right behind me! I would have stopped in for a visit but caught the wrong gust and I just couldn't control it! :gig
