You make me tired DD :p
Don't know why. I didn't do much yesterday. I did get my dishes done, made a loaf of bread and some brownies. Tried something different. I had a banana that I needed to do something with, but didn't know what. So I sliced it all up and put it on top of the brownies. They taste pretty good, but it took longer for them to bake.

Today was a busy day. I got up B4 5:00, played on the computer for just a bit, then got busy. I got a load of clothes folded and put away, cut up the loaf of bread I made last night, made egg salad, then a sandwich, ate breakfast, got a few things that I needed, got my snow pants and winter jacket on (temps were in the lower 40s!), got on my bike and B4 7:00, I was on my way to the farm.

I got to the farm to find 3 minis out. Great, I didn't need that this morning. I got my horses and CL's fed, fed my chickens, then got a bit of food, put it in a bucket and started to walk towards them while I shook the bucket. Didn't take long B4 I had 3 minis crowding around me wanting the food. I let them get a bit, then started walking back to the farm w/them following me. Got them in the riding arena. I had no idea where they got out, and had no desire to look. But, I was pretty sure they couldn't get out of there. Did a bit of work on the weeds in front of my tack shed, then left. For some reason, I thought I needed to be at the nature center. It was supposed to be that I needed to leave by then! I got to the nature center, and there's no one there. That's when I realized what I did. :barnie Didn't take too long B4 others showed up though. There was a large group of kids coming in from a local school, and JT had asked for some help from the volunteers. They were doing a lake study, some crafts, some singing and learning a bit about animals. I'm good w/the lake study, so that's what I helped with.

The group was split into smaller groups. (I'm thinking there may have been one other activity that they did since there was a total of 5 groups!) The kids were funny though. Some of them (including the boys) were afraid to touch anything! We did have a lunch break, then finished the groups. By the time we were done, I was beat! But, I still had more to do. I went back to the farm, let Stormy out and fed him. I bagged some feed and finished weeding the section I wanted to get done. Then, I went and cleaned up my field. There were 2 days worth of poop, and it only took me about 45 minutes! So, doing it every other day is working. The field isn't too bad looking, and it doesn't take me much longer than it does if I did it every day! After I got that done, I dumped my water tank, cleaned it out the best I could, then refilled it. Got everyone put where they belonged, took care of Cindy and left. By the time I got home, it was around 5:00!

I got the animals fed, and took down a load of clothes I put out yesterday. Did a bit to help hubby get dinner going and was finally able to sit down. I'm ready to go to sleep.

I have a feeling I'm not getting that job. And in a way, I don't mind. Today is a small sample of what I'd go thru all summer long. And, while I could use the money, I trust God to provide what I need.

Well, I didn't get to sit down then. Hubby decided to put my new seat in my canoe. And, he wanted me out there. He decided that while I was waiting for him to need me, I could clean up the area where I had been splitting wood. :th

I think I've been just too busy, and today it caught up w/me. Hubby did get the seat in my canoe last night. We got it in my truck, and I got everything ready for today. I slept until I woke up this morning, and it felt good! Did a bit of work here B4 I left to feed the horses. And, I took my truck! :celebrate It felt soooo good to drive that. That's the first time I've driven it in a couple of weeks.

Since I was taking the truck, I took 3 buckets of sand out w/me. What a difference putting that sand in the one area has made. We got close to an inch of rain on Tuesday. I wore my boots Tuesday-Thursday, but didn't have to wear them yesterday. I've never had the area dry out that quickly b4.

I get to the farm, get the horses fed, and go to get the tractor. They needed hay. I took gas w/me so I wouldn't run out. Put the gas in the tractor, and it wouldn't start! :barnie So, I had to let it sit. Finally got it started, got the hay out, got the sand out and left. I just barely made it to the lake in time.

The canoeing was interesting. When I go for something like this, I stay at the back. There's always at least 1 person that's having trouble, so having people who know what they're doing. There was some wind blowing, so that made paddling hard. And, I was so glad I took both the kayak and canoe paddles out w/me! When we go to the back of the lake, there was a lot of yellow pond lilies. I was using the kayak paddle because it's easier to get across the lake w/that. But, it hung up on the lilies, and I almost tipped! So, I put that down, and used the canoe paddle. It was close to 1:00 by the time I left.

Got home, got something to eat and did a bit more work. Then hubby and I left. Our goal was to finish the coop and run. I started to feel really sick, thought I was going to pass out. So, I left hubby on his own, and I went and laid down in the tack shed. Cindy came and joined me. Let me tell you, cat breathe does NOT smell good! :sick But I felt too bad to even move her.

Now we're home. DD was here, and fed the animals for me. I had a couple of slices of bread and am drinking a cup of tea. I have no fever, so I think I was just wore out. So, even though there's dishes that need to be done, I'm just sitting back and relaxing.

I still wasn't feeling well today, and didn't make church. I felt so bad that I didn't even go out to feed the horses until after 11:00! And believe me, they told me about it when I got there.

Because of how rotten I was feeling, I decided not to take the bike even though it was nice weather. I took the truck. Hubby was going to pick up a few things then come out and work on the coop. I so want it done! Since I was taking the truck, I decided to take out some sand w/me. Got the horses fed, put the sand in the cart and my manure fork. Dumped the sand, cleaned the field and went back to the tack shed. No sign of hubby, so I took a nap. I felt much better afterward. Hubby got there, and we finally got the area for the nuggets all set up! There's a door into it and there's netting over the top! Depending on the weather, I'll be taking them out either tomorrow or Tuesday!

We also got the door done into the main run. We need to do a bit more work to the coop, put the netting up, and I'll be able to move the rest of them over. I'll be so glad.

I'm planning on having a yard sale on Saturday at DS's house. So, that means I wanted to bring home my trailer. That way I can get everything packed into it as I clean my basement! But, B4 I could leave, I needed to feed my chickens and take care of Cindy. One of my chickens was wanting to get in, but not wanted to come around the fence, so I decided I'd go to where she was and chase her over. That's when I saw it.

There were several people on the farm today, including some visitors. Well, when they were done, they didn't reconnect the electric fence! It was undone at the gate into CL's field. It was undone at the gate into the riding arena. It was undone at another gate into the riding arena and this section was wrapped around a post plus it had a lead rope tied over the top of it! There was a pile of poop in the parking area. Needless to say, I reconnected the electric and cleaned up the poop. That's when I noticed the lead rope-ONE OF MINE!!!!!!!! Someone had borrowed it to tie up a dog-and didn't put it away. They didn't ask, just took it. I have to ask myself, how difficult is it to reconnect the electric, clean up after your horse, and put something back where you found it? Once my area is all done, there won't be ANYTHING out where someone could use it.

Last night, I went to bed shortly after 9:00. I didn't set the alarm, but woke on my own at around 5:00. I still feel a bit sick, but not as bad as I did. And, I was able to get some stuff done!

1. I finished weeding the interior fence line in my field! Wednesday I'll start on the exterior fence. :celebrate

2. I groomed both Misty and Stormy. They look so much better! Misty had rolled in the mud, Stormy hasn't finished shedding out. I hope he doesn't have something else besides the heaves. :(

3. LF got a load of hay in. I went down to see if she needed some help. She had run out for a bit and was gone by the time I got down there, so I just started on my own. There was a chance of rain, and I didn't want to see her hay get soaked. She got back right when I got done. I'd say she timed that right!

4. I started weeding around my tack shed.

5. I took some stuff out of my horse trailer, then started putting boxes of stuff in it! I have an area I can now walk around in in my basement!

I'm going to do some dishes, and make myself some chicken noodle soup. I'm hoping to get to bed early again tonight. Hopefully, I'll feel 100% soon so I can really get some stuff done!
