Yay for making more progress on the pigweed! :celebrate We have it on our place but it's only in a small area around the guinea coop/run. The stuff is aggravating, I get an area cleared of it and a few days later it's back. I'm beginning to wonder if the pulled up stuff grows legs after dark and replants itself! :gig

Brownies are good. :drool

If I hadn't had so many problems w/the mower, I probably wouldn't be having all the problems now. I've done more reading on the stuff, and have found that if you keep up w/the mowing, it's less likely to produce seeds. I also need to check the pH of my field. Apparently, they like soil that has a lower pH, so if I apply lime in the spring, that should help for next year. And, it can be toxic to animals, so you don't really want them eating it.

Wasn't feeling all that well this morning, and just didn't want to leave. But, I finally forced myself to leave. Got to the farm and realized I had forgotten my phone and my my rain gear! :barnie So, I hoped to get home B4 hubby and hoped it didn't rain.

I also realized I forgot to turn the electric back on yesterday and both Licky and Honey were in the seeded area again. They got chased out. Got the horses fed, and checked on my chickens. I'd say the one is not egg bound. She's definitely pooping, so I'm not sure what's up w/her. She looked like she may be walking a bit better, so we'll see. Then, I got started on weeding. I finally got that section done! And, I started on the next section. There's more weeds on the end I start on. It took me a bit more than an hour to do the last 3rd of that section and 30 minutes do an area 3'x10' in the next section! But, the really weedy section isn't as big in this section, so hopefully, it won't take me as long to get it done. Then, I'll have just 1 more section to do! I also jumped the mower and got some more manure cleaned up, then stuck out my last RB.

Hooked the trailer up and went to the hay auction. CL asked if she could go. She wanted to get some sbs. So, I took her. I figured if I got a lot w/3 RBs, I'd be able to take just 1 trip. Well, there wasn't a whole lot of hay there. In fact, there were just 2 lots of RBs that I'd even bid on. The rest didn't look that great, or had alfalfa in them. And, both of those lots had 4 RBs in them. I was able to get one of them, she was able to get a lot of 23 sbs, so that meant I couldn't fit everything in the trailer. The guy who had the RBs wanted to know if we were interested in buying more, so she made arrangements to buy 4 off of him. Only problem being, she forgot that someone would have to unload them and she can't run the tractor!

I get to the farm, drive into my field and start to unload hay. I have CL's sbs in the front of the trailer as well as2 of the RBs. The other RB was in the truck. I get the RBs off the trailer, back up to get the RB out of my truck and notice that Licky and Honey had loaded themselves into the trailer so they could eat the hay! They got chased out, and I closed the door, then got the RB out of my truck. I left the tractor over w/the RBS and went and unloaded and stacked CL's hay for her. She's unable to do it, but she's the only one I'll do it for. Get the trailer unhooked while Stormy's eating his 2nd feeding. Then, I leave him and Misty in the seeded area and go and get my other RB. I got to the farm and got it unloaded, then left my truck in the field. Took the tractor out, and went down and unloaded the RBs that CL got. It rained a bit while I was doing this, but nothing major. Get the tractor put away, and it stops raining. I still had to take apart my RB feeder and load it in the back of my truck. Just as I started to take it apart, it started to pour! :hit I did have an old raincoat in the truck, but it wouldn't have done anything. I couldn't get much wetter than I was. So, I got it taken apart, then loaded and tied into the back of my truck. Drove out, got everything closed back up, parked the truck and was finally able to get the chickens put away, get the horses put away, put trash in the back of my truck and was able to leave. It had stopped raining by the time I got home, so I got the goats and bunnies fed, then came in and got a nice, hot shower!

I'm still not feeling that great. I was going to make some chicken soup for dinner, but was just too beat. So, I got out some leftover scalloped potatoes w/ham and heated that up. I'm thinking I'll get to bed early.
