I'm beat! After we got home, I did dishes, put away some laundry, and washed 3 loads of clothes. I've been needing to do some laundry, but decided to wait until I had more than 1 load. I figured since I had to dry them in the dryer, if I could do 2 or 3 loads, it would save some money since the dryer element would already be heated up. Now, the last load is in the dryer, I'm going to go and stuff the stove and go to bed!

It got cold last night again, down to 13! And, there was no fire when I got up at 6:30. (That's so late for me!) But, in spite of that, the house was STILL in the 60s! So, replacing the AC vents w/insulation helped quite a bit!

I'm thinking that I do need to put Licky's door up today. It will make it so much easier tomorrow for when the farrier comes. I may not get the field all cleaned, but this is more important. As long as I have the stalls cleaned, that should be good enough. I'll be glad when I have everything done in there. I'd be able to close them in w/both hay and water if the weather's going to be really, really bad.

Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr... I do NOT know how you deal with that. Our overnight low was 69 and it's already in the 70's now. Hope you get the stalls all fixed up. I need to get the farrier out too, but it's just so muddy. HOpefully it'll dry up soon and we can get it taken care of.

Stay warm!

Well, I didn't get the door up, I just didn't have that kind of time and there's still 1 old hinge on it. I couldn't get one screw out, but hubby's supposed to be stopping by the farm this week, so we'll get it done then. I did get screw eyes up on the back wall and stuffed the hay nets. So, since it's supposed to rain again tomorrow, I can just hang them in there easily. Right now, they're all sitting in Honey's old stall. I was going to do wood, but hubby hasn't sharpened a chain so I'll just bring some more of what I have cut up in. And it's supposed to stop raining in the early afternoon, so as long as he sharpens it when he gets home, I can get wood done tomorrow.

Hubby got the insulation in the AC vent in the bedroom while I was gone. It's 68* in there! It's NEVER that warm in there in the winter, so this is definitely going to help to bring our electric bill down! Now I'm looking forward to next winter just so we can compare our electric bill from this year.

Yeah, but it was too hot in there for me to sleep last night! I had to crack the window open just so I could breath! And, I'm waiting for him to leave for work so I can shut the heater in the living room off.

It's raining again, but at least it's supposed to stop by mid afternoon. And, since it's not supposed to get too cold tonight and be in the 40s tomorrow, I'm hoping I can ride the bike to the farm. In fact, depending on how early it warms up in the morning, I may be able to take it every day but Thursday. I go to a Bible study Thursday morning, and don't have time to wait for it to warm up in the morning. That would help me a lot right now. I'm really low on funds, so that would save me quite a bit in gas money.

We're supposed to get rain the majority of the day here too. :/

I can sleep in the cold-in fact, I sleep BETTER in the cold. But it's hard for me to sleep (at this time of year) when it's close to 70* in the bedroom! It was down to 60 when I got up, and in less than 2 hours, has gotten up to 63!
