I'd be getting more done if I wasn't being pulled in 2 different directions (or more) everyday. I think I need a clone of myself.

OK, I didn't go to bed yet. Hubby left the TV on, the Phils were playing, and I realized it was almost over. So, I HAD to watch the last inning. They were losing, 3-1, but pulled out a win! :woot

I got to ride! :weee :weee :weee We were going to go on a trail ride, but this is only the 2nd time this year that I've ridden her and it was pretty windy. She can be really spooky in the wind, so figured it probably wasn't the smartest thing to do. So, we rode in the riding arena. I had some problems w/her wanting to follow KN's horse, but by the time I was done riding, she was doing a better job of listening to me.

The weather is actually nice! I have to have a fire at night still, but that's it. This morning, I did make a fire, but it's not supposed to be as cold tonight, so I shouldn't need a fire in the morning. And, I may not need one some nights this week!

Been hearing a "new" type of owl in the woods lately. I was able to figure out what it is, so that made me happy. It's a barred owl. Didn't even know we had them around here, but it's nice to know. Sometimes I feel so sorry for nature lovers that are stuck in a city. I may not want to live here, but it's definitely better than living in a city.

Right now, I'm feeling like we went straight from winter to summer. It was in the 80s today! It wasn't supposed to get that hot, so I didn't take shorts w/me to the farm. It was a bit cool when I left, so I had on my Carhartts and a vest. By the time I got done feeding, I was down to a tee shirt and wishing for shorts. I have flip flops at the farm, so I did try to wear them, but they were bothering my feet, so I kept taking them off and walking around in my bare feet. I didn't do everything I had planned on doing cuz I was just too hot!

I had a little bit of stuff to put in the tack stall. That's done. I cleaned the automatic waterer-which is a pain in the neck (I'll NEVER buy this type of waterer. It's almost impossible to get clean! I also scrub my tank, and filled that up w/water.

Stormy looks so much better this year as compared to last year. He still needs weight, but he is putting it on. And, his coat is shedding out better. I did work on brushing him out some, but it's going to take awhile!

Misty has been a pain when I go to put a bit in her mouth, so I spent some time today just messing w/her mouth and getting her to open up when I stick my finger in the corner. She was doing good, so I'm hoping maybe tomorrow I can work some w/the bit instead of my finger.

I got home, and did nothing for a bit. I was beat. Then, I went out and started working in the garden. I had some ashes that I had dumped in there, they got raked out. I cleaned out the majority of under the rabbit pen and raked that out. Then, I let the goats out and started working in there. They were being good-until they decided that they wanted to go across the street. So, I had to round them up, and stick them in the old dog pen for awhile. I didn't get all done. The only turning fork I can find keeps coming apart, so that made it difficult. Worked out there until around 7:00, then got their food, and got them where they belonged. Got the bunnies done and now I'm relaxing in the house. It's still fairly warm out-in the 60s! And, it's not supposed to be that cold overnight, so I'm leaving my plants out in the green house overnight. I should be able to leave them there for the next few days at least! And, I need to get in there and do some transplanting. My tomatoes are looking real good, but they need to be in bigger pots.

Today was another hot one! Yesterday when I left for the farm, I had on my Carhartts, a vest, long sleeved shirt, a tee shirt and under my helmet, a balaclava. Today I wore a lightweight jacket, my vest, a sweatshirt, a sleeveless shirt and under my helmet, a headband. (I have to have something on over my ears when I ride otherwise, I'll get wind in my ears and end up w/an earache.) I remembered to take shorts w/me, and was going to put them on. RU called. She was getting ready to go away for a few days, and needed some help. By the time I was done helping her, I didn't feel like doing anything else. It was just too hot!

Had trouble w/the mower. It needs work. I got down to dump the manure where RU wants me to put it-and the mower stopped running! :barnie And, I had a terrible time getting it to start again. When I put the new battery in, I had to cut the wire to get the old one out. I couldn't get the screw off any other way. And, I didn't have the right connector to put back on. I keep forgetting to look for one, or ask my hubby if he has one. I finally ended up stripping the wire enough to get it hooked direct, got the mower back up and parked it. Until I get the correct part on there, it ain't moving!

It was late when I got home, so I didn't get done everything I wanted to get done. Hubby got drunk, and that didn't help matters any. I think he's asleep now. I hate it when he gets like that. And, I'm not sure how much longer I can take it.

Had another hot one today. And, I had on even LESS when I left. I replaced the jacket w/a windbreaker, and was almost hot riding! And today, I did have time to get my shorts on.

Since RU is away, I had all her horses to feed, so I didn't get done as much as I wanted to, but I did get some work done in the stalls! I can FINALLY hang buckets where I want them! I've been hanging them on the gates, but that's a pain. Tomorrow, I'll be putting the buckets where they belong. I only have a little bit more to do on the stall walls. Then, I have a whole pile of pea gravel to put in. Once that's done, I'll be putting some pressure treated wood at the bottom of the stalls. Right now, when we get heavy rain, Licky's stall gets water running into it. Once I have it all done, it should stay dry in there. And, I'm sure she'll appreciated that.

Got some more of the goat pen cleaned out. And, I was really wishing the chickens could have been there. They would have LOVED being in there. I was finding a ton of worms as well as grubs. Since tomorrow is supposed to be cooler, I'll be heading into the woods and getting a load of wood as well as the cedar posts I want. I won't be able to work in there on Friday-it's supposed to rain. But, Saturday should hopefully see a whole lot more done.
