Hubby just left so in just a bit, I'll be doing more peaches in the dehydrator. I'll be getting some apples soon and doing them as well and maybe some pears and/or bananas. Then if I can, I'll mix them all w/raisins and peanut M&Ms for my own trail mix. Love taking that w/me when I go for a trail ride.

My goals for today:
1. Practice piano
2. Work on peaches
3. Feed farm animals
4. Go to Bible study
5. Pick field
6. Feed Stormy, put out hay, take care of Cindy and the chickens
7. Go to the Amish market and see if I can find Clear-gel
8. Work on bedroom
9. Work in garden
10. Feed goats
11. Make and eat dinner
12. Do dishes
13. Work on 4-H lessons
14. Collapse

I don't know that I'll get all the peaches done today. If not, I'll spend more time on them tomorrow. But if at all possible, I want my jam, sliced or diced peaches, and pie/cobbler filling done. I have a campfire at the Nature Center tomorrow night, so I won't want to work on canning anything then.

Other than bringing the peaches in off the back deck, then putting them back out again tonight, I'm not touching them today. They'll get done on Saturday afternoon. So, my list for today should be better

1. Practice piano
2. Wash and hang out a load of laundry
3. Work on basement
4. Feed farm animals and bag feed
5. Pick field
6. Work w/Licky and Stormy
7. Ride Misty for at least 1/2 an hour
8. Feed Stormy, take care of Cindy and the chickens
9. Wash dishes
10. Feed goats
11. Work in the garden
12. Go to campfire at the Nature Center. There's also a night walk. I don't always go on it cuz it can trigger vertigo. Last year, I couldn't go. There was a kid w/these shoes that lit up when she walked and it was really bright! I had to turn around and go back cuz it was making me dizzy!
13. Collapse

I feel like I'm missing something, but can't imagine what. If I figure it out, I'll add it. Tomorrow, I'm hoping to get a lot done outside, maybe even some firewood!

They seem to be OK so far.

OK, today DID NOT go as planned! I really didn't feel like doing anything today, but figured I needed to do it anyway. I worked Licky in the RP, but then CL showed up. And she and RU were getting ready to ride in the RP. So, I decided rather than working w/Stormy, I'd just saddle up Misty and ride her for a bit. The only place that I have now to ride her is in my field. There's horses in the riding arena, plus there's animals that come in UNDER the fence. I don't need to deal w/that. Since she doesn't neck rein, and I wanted to work w/her on that, I decided to set up a bunch of step in posts in a straight line, and work on weaving in and out of them. I get them all set up, get her saddled, got her to take the bit, then lead her into my field. Got on her and she seemed nice and calm.

Then a car came down the street. Cars come down the street all the time. She has had them go past her when we've been trail riding all the time w/no problem. But for some reason, she spooked. And when she did, she ended up w/the step in post between her front legs-and she freaked! She went to bucking. I tried to get her head up, or pulled into the side. But, she had it down too far. And she tossed me. I didn't pass out. I was sore, but went and got her and climbed back on. Rode her for a few minutes and she was fine-I wasn't. I felt like I was going to pass out. So, I got down, got her unsaddled and went looking for other people.

To make a long story short, RU drove me to the ER, but didn't stay. I had x-rays and a cat scan done. Nothing is broken, and I don't have a concussion. I got done in the ER just about the time that hubby got there. He took me back to the farm. I got Stormy fed, got hay out, got the chickens rounded up, got everything set up for tomorrow and left. Next stop was the chiropractor's. The ER Dr. tried to talk me out of going. But, I was out of whack, which was really causing me to hurt. I could just barely turn my head. The chiropractor didn't agree w/the ER Dr., and was glad I came in. He adjusted me-I can now turn my neck much easier. And, I'll be going back on Monday.

I was so glad that I had already bagged feed and picked my field this morning. I won't be able to do it tomorrow. I'm supposed to take it easy tomorrow.

Glad it wasn't more serious! Do you wear a helmet when you ride? I never did - thought it was 'silly' but I've changed my mind. Hope you feel better soon!

Don't get on w/out one. Now I need to buy a new one. But, I had planned to anyway. Just glad I didn't have it already!

Today I'm not making up a list of what I'm getting done. I'll do what I can but that's it. I'm sore and achy and didn't sleep the greatest. Had to get up in the middle of the night to take pain pills.

About all I did was rest. I tried to take a nap, that didn't work. Went out w/hubby for a bit, went to the farm, fed Stormy, took care of everything out there, then rode my bike home. Got home, fed the goats and went out to dinner, then to Hobby Lobby. Now I'm relaxing and thinking of going to bed soon.

Well, I slept good last night. So tomorrow I should be back to normal. I feel like I've lost a week, though.

Well we sure are glad you were wearing your helmet. Things could've been a great deal worse. Hope you continue on the mend and things start going well again!
