Just when I got done loading up the wood, 2 of the sons showed up. Had a bit of a talk w/them. The reason they wanted the wood gone is because they've rented the field next to the wood pile to a local farmer and he wants to get fence all pulled down and plow it up. If they had known I wanted to move my horses, they would have made a deal w/me! So, if things don't calm down at the farm, and if I don't find my own place for next year, we'll see about coming to an arrangement for next year!

Good that you have a backup plan if things don't get better at the farm.

I'm beat. I got to the farm yesterday afternoon to find Stormy down. It's been hot, and when we get those unexpected hot days like that, he doesn't always drink enough. Then I have to deal w/colic! I was at the farm for about 4 hours w/that. But by the time I left, he was eating and drinking again, and I believe he did do a small poop. Kind of hard to tell when all you have to check is a small flashlight!

He was fine yesterday. Didn't eat all his breakfast-which is normal after he's colicked. If I had more grass, I don't think it would be as much of a problem since he'd be getting moisture in the grass.

Hubby is back to work today! So, I'm hoping I can get a lot done. I've barely done anything the past few days.

Yesterday he had to go to Trenton to renew some license he needs for work. And since we weren't sure his car would make it and since it wasn't very nice day, I let him take the truck and I went w/him. I just hope I don't end up w/a bad vertigo attack. He KNOWS he cannot go too fast if I'm w/him-it triggers an attack. But, he kept going way to fast on the one road because he was sure he was going to be late. He wasn't-he got there almost 30 minutes early. But if I'm going to get a major attack, it had better be today and NOT tomorrow. We have our Holy Thursday service at church and the choir is singing a cantata. Not only am I singing in it, I have the only solo! W/the amount of time I've spent practicing this, I don't want to miss it. I'm thinking of going back to bed once hubby leaves for work. I can't sleep too late, but I figure even an extra hour would be good.

It got cold again last night. It was sleeting when I went to bed. I have a fire going for the first time in days. I had to take wood out of the wood shed since I never got to it on Monday. And it's going to be cold again tonight. But after this, it should start to warm up.

I think we have our ground hog back. Yesterday when I went past the lean to where I park my motorcycle, I saw something on top of it. I didn't get a good look at it, but it was about the right size and color for a ground hog. Guess I'll be baiting my trap.

Congrats on the solo gig- hope everything goes well for you! Good luck on catching that stinkin' ground hog.

Didn't see any sign of it today, so whether or not it was really the groundhog or not, I don't know.

Thought I had found a place to move my horses to. It would have been closer than the farm. Plus, it was much bigger-4.5 acres! And while I would have had to pay more in board, I would have, in all probability, made it up in savings on gas, hay, etc. But in order for her to have my horses there, she'd have to pay for a very expensive insurance policy. So, it ain't going to happen. I'm going to have to sit down w/RU and have a serious talk w/her. I'm hoping that, along w/pushing her will get things done around the farm that need to be done, as well as addressing other things that are a major concern for me.

I hope so as well. I'll continue to look for something better-preferably my own place.
