It feels good to sit down! I had some stuff that I had to do out at the farm today, then I headed over to where I'm getting my firewood. They're taking down a wire fence, and told me I could take it! So, I worked awhile on getting that down. I'm not sure how long I worked on it, but managed to do about 1/3 of it. (They had already taken down bunch B4 they found out I wanted it, don't know if what they took down is any good or not.) Then, I loaded the truck up w/wood, went home and unloaded it. I had washed clothes this morning, but hadn't waited to put them out. I had planned on putting them out when I got home w/the wood, but just didn't have time. Lunch was late, leftover pizza on my way back to the farm.

Once I got back to the farm, I gave Stormy his 2nd feeding, cleaned the field and took care of the chickens. Talked to RU for a bit and found out that she has started to take care of some stuff that was a major concern for me! That's very encouraging. Came home and finally got my clothes out on the line, then fed the goats and checked my plants in the greenhouse.

Now I'm sitting down and relaxing. I'm thinking about how good a nice, hot shower and getting to bed early would feel!

In other news, I know that at least 3 of the spears that I transplanted are good since they're up! I still need to move rhubarb, but I'm thinking of not moving all of it. I don't know that it will all fit where I want to put it, so I figure if I don't move it all, that will give us some for this year plus some to take w/me if we're able to move next year like I want.

Had a little talk w/RU, and I'm NOT moving my horses. I'm glad about that. It's a big load off of my mind. I also got another load of wood, worked some more on getting that fence down, and worked in my garden! I'll be doing even more on it next week.

And, I stood up to hubby! Monday, I had to get food because I was out at the farm so late w/Stormy and had had no dinner. I knew hubby wouldn't have anything for me when I finally got home. Tuesday, I ate out w/my motorcycle group. Today was breakfast. I paid cash all 3 times. And that's about $30 out of what I get. So, I took extra money out. And when he said something I told him why I took it. I also reminded him that he takes money out for if he eats out.

We went shopping this evening. He almost pulled out in front of a car, then tried to say that I told him it was OK. I didn't, and told him so. He tried to argue about it, I didn't back down. He also started driving too fast. I told him to slow down, and reminded him that on narrower roads, he could not drive as fast as he does on a 4 lane highway. He likes to grumble and complain about it. I had already decided that if he complained, I was going to tell him to take me home. I cannot help it if it bothers me, and I refuse to feel guilty about it any longer. I also got stuff that I wanted-even though it wasn't on the list. After all, he gets stuff he wants all the time.

I'm glad things got worked out at the farm and good for you for standing up for yourself! You deserve things for yourself just as much as he does.

Thanks. I don't know what he's going to think as I stand up more and more, but I have to do it.

Got 2 more loads of wood today. I should be able to get the rest of it this week as well as get all that fence down. It will be so nice next winter when I don't have to worry about wood.

I'm beat! I got 2 more loads of wood today. There are at least 2 more loads left out there. And I also worked in the garden for awhile, and got some of the wood cut, split and stacked. Now I'm trying to get up enough energy to go and get a shower!

Glad you worked things out with RU. Is your need any info on insurance, let me know because I just did all the research. I found out that there is a huge price gap out there in costs. I was quoted anywhere from 500 - 1000 plus for the exact same insurance policies. That's a huge difference!

I'm glad too. Now I'm going to be pushing her to get things done out there. And I'll be pushing hubby to get things done around here! I have one more load of wood to get, and the rest of that fence to take down.

Then next week, RU and I will take her flatbed trailer and pick up the fence as well as some railroad ties and old telephone poles they want gone. She can use them. I'm all for getting stuff done out at the farm so that B4 I find my own place, her fencing is all done and she can store hay how she wants w/out having to worry about getting stuck in the mud, or not being able to get to it. I just have to watch how I push her or it can backfire.

OH, I would love to come across some telephone poles! I could think of several good uses for some! The electric company here has been replacing the huge, main towers of the main lines - several of us were trying to find out what they were doing with the old ones. The base of the towers would make excellent wind generator bases. The power company said their policy is to DESTROY the towers - compact them and haul them off for scrap! Apparently, people were stealing the bases, so they decided to destroy them all  They also have huge long poles they use to keep the lines off the roads as they switch them out. I asked about those - they 'cut them into useless pieces and dispose of them' :he
I guess they don't want to contribute to people getting OFF their cash cow!
