Yep, I never even thought of it until today.

It got colder last night than they were calling for-down to 30! And then it didn't warm up as early as they were saying it would. But I figured I could still take the bike and get home early enough to get stuff done. Boy was I wrong! I think part of the problem was I was cold most of the day. And getting the tractor out was not easy. Then the spreader didn't want to spread. I don't know what's going on w/it. The last few times I've used it, I've had to dump part of the load out because it's not spreading. It's very frustrating. I might have to contact the company and see if they can tell me why it's doing this.

I was going to work w/Misty, but it was getting late. So instead I got rain sheets on everybody and left. Ran my errands and went home. By the time I got home, it was around 4:30!

Got the goat pen cleaned out and got one of the old t-posts out. I still have to more to go, bu t at least I started.

Got some stuff planted in the orchard, then filled up the wood holder in the basement. I had wanted to work on the one stack, but the wood is too long, and my chain needs to be sharpened. So instead, I worked on stuff that was pretty much the correct size and was able to fill the wood holder.

I've had a shower and dinner. Now I'm trying to stay awake. I think I might go to be real early.

Not sure what I'm getting done today. It's raining. Hubby talked about going out to breakfast then going Christmas shopping, so we'll see. At least it's supposed to clear up some by this afternoon. I hope so. I hate having to feed in the rain. I'm glad I got RU's tractor out yesterday. I'll need it on Monday, so I parked it where I don't have to go thru a bunch of mud and gates to get to it. She's not going to be using it B4 I need it, so it's not a problem.

It's in the 30s again this morning. But w/the time change, I should be able to get out there earlier since it will warm up earlier.

Because of the rain on Saturday and the wind yesterday, I basically did nothing over the weekend. It's supposed to be fairly nice but cool today, then warm up for the middle of the week w/more rain on Thursday. But at least the weekend is supposed to be good. So if it is, I will have a yard sale on Saturday. Anything that doesn't go will be going to a thrift store. W/all of that gone, I'll be able to work more on cleaning the rest of the house. If possible, I want to have another yard sale at the beginning of December. That should get the majority of the junk out of the house. Then we can concentrate on getting the house finished. I want to get the house done and move. I'm tired of going out to the farm. In fact, I'm getting to where I hate having to go out. It's not because I want to get rid of my horses or chickens, but because I'm tired of dealing w/everything out there.

It seems like it should be so much later because of the time change, but it's not even 7:00! I have a lot to get done, so I need to get moving. So, my list for today is:

1. Housework
2. Laundry
3. Normal farm chores
4. Clean field and spread manure
5. Work w/Misty and maybe Licorice (They both act like I'm killing them when I put a sheet or blanket on them)
6. Goat pen
7. Feed animals at home
8. Firewood
9. Yard/garden/orchard
10. Dishes

I think this is enough for today, so I'd better get started.

I hear you on wanting to move! I was so happy to move here, and while I really love it I'm also craving a place of my own.
Hope you get lots done despite the time change!

It takes me awhile to get used to the new time. I feel like I'm running behind. It doesn't help that I feel drained. I don't feel like doing anything. I'm forcing myself to get stuff done, so that means I'm not getting done as much as I should. I didn't work w/Misty today, let alone Licorice. I just couldn't get motivated to do more than what I had to do.

Once home, instead of going out and doing some work, I sat in a chair for quite a bit. So, I didn't get done as much as I wanted to do here either. I did rake up the goat pen again and got out another post. I'm going to try and get the last one out tomorrow. I get that out, then I'll start getting the fence the way it needs to be done. I also got some of my fall garden work done and did some firewood. I split and brought in enough to fill the wood holder in the basement half way. I'm trying to keep track of how often I fill it, and how full. I don't know how much wood I actually use in a year, and want to get an idea.

I should be doing some dishes, but I just don't feel like it. I'm wondering how much of this is due to the weather we've been having. We've been getting a heavy rain storm at least 1x a week for awhile now. That kind of weather has always affected me. I can remember taking a nap as a kid when we had weather like this.

I feel much better today, so I'm hoping I get a lot done. And, it's going to be nice out, so that's a big help. I'm planning on going to the hay auction today. And since RU is away and I have to feed her horses, I'm hoping I can get to the farm super early. That way I can have that done B4 heading to Bible study. If I get any hay, I'm only planning on getting 20 bales. I'd pick them up tomorrow after my lesson, then cover them and unload them another day, probably Friday.

Since I want to leave early, I'd better get my list done so I can. I want to leave by around 7:30, and want to get stuff done here first. So, here's my list for today:

1. Laundry
2. Housework
3. Normal farm chores
4. Feed RU's horses
5. Bible study
6. Bank and hay auction
7. Goat pen
8. Feed animals
9. Yard/garden/orchard
10. Firewood
11. Dishes

I think that's enough, and I need to get busy.

I've been struggling with the weather too. I desperately need to clean up my garden and wed the side of the house but I am not motivated to be outside unless I have to! It is supposed to be warmer today. Hopefully I can get some of that done.
Good luck with your list!

Other than being a bit cloudy, today was gorgeous and tomorrow is supposed to be even better!
Today was more like it. The only thing I didn't do was firewood, and that was because I decided not to do it. If hubby hadn't made a fire, I wouldn't even have one burning now.

Actually, I'm quite proud of myself. I left for the farm early enough to get my guys and CL's fed, got RU's horses fed and shut in the barn. Then I grabbed the tractor and put out a RB for LF's horses, then got hay put out for CL's horses, the donkeys and the horses. It was not easy getting the hay, but I was able to do it. W/the hay out, I parked the tractor where I got it from the other day. And since the donkeys had gotten in w/the horses and the horses had gotten in w/the donkeys, I was able to separate them and tie up the fence. It should be easier to feed tomorrow.

W/the horses all fed, I headed to Bible study. From Bible study, I went to the bank, then the hay auction. There was some nice hay there, but it went for more than I wanted to spend, so I didn't get any.

From the auction, I headed back to the farm, fed Stormy, got hay out, got the chickens taken care of and got everything set up for the morning. Then I went and voted. After voting, I came home, and got that last post out of the goat pen. I'm hoping I have time to start working on the fence tomorrow! I'm hoping I can have that area all done by the end of the week.

I also worked for quite awhile in the garden getting it cleaned up. I still have a long way to go, but at least you can see where I've been working. I pulled some of the weeds and fed them to Thumper. Thumper is a funny bunny. She(?) knows that I'm going to give her something green, so as soon as she sees me, she come running over to where I put it and waits for me.

Once I got in the house, I did dishes, then cleaned the bathroom. And I washed and hung out a load of clothes this morning, then did another load this afternoon. This way, I don't have to worry about getting them out in the morning.

Now I'm relaxing. Hubby turned on Oak Island and I think he's fallen asleep. I'm hoping to get to bed early tonight. I'm tired!

Today is going to be another busy day. I have a lot to do, and want to leave early. I want to feed RU's horses this morning since I have a lesson and am then working. I want to be able to get back from working and just feed Stormy and the chickens and leave. I will be doing firewood today since it's going to rain tomorrow so I won't be able to do any then. So, my list for today is:

1. Put out trash and recyclables
2. Housework
3. Go to feed store
4. Normal farm chores
5. Feed RU's horses
6. Lesson
7. Work
8. Goat pen
9. Yard/garden/orchard
10. Firewood
11. Dishes
12. Laundry

This looks like enough for today. So once hubby leaves, I'll be getting started.
