The run-in is cleaned out! I have lost track of how many hours it took. I still need to do the hay stall, but at least my horses aren't in there. And, I called my brother to see if I can borrow his truck. I'm hoping that by the end of next week I can have at least one of my chicken houses done. I want all of my animals in one spot at the farm.

Today is going to be another beautiful day. As much as I'd like to spend the day out at the farm, I need to leave around noon. I'm helping JT w/a presentation on making your backyard attractive to wildlife-namely birds and butterflies. And because of how far she has to go to get there and not being allowed to leave B4 a certain time, she's not sure she can make it on time. So, I'll get there early. That means I need to take some clean clothes w/me. I have to get gas this morning, so since I need goat feed, I'll head to TSC B4 going to the farm rather than B4 heading home. TSC is on the same road as the gas station, so it makes sense. I'll also get a bag of chicken feed and horse feed.

At the farm, I'll fill up the manure spreader again, then start on the hay stall. I'm hoping it doesn't take as long as the rest of the stalls. It is so nice to see the progress I've made. And I sleep better knowing the stalls are cleaned out and the field is mowed. Though, I did have a crazy dream. I dreamt I was pregnant!

Yep, I'm going to produce something. Actually, I was thinking just the other day about how nice and peaceful it is down there and how I can hardly wait until it's all set up and it gets too cold to work outside. My tack shed will be finished, so I'll have a nice warm, peaceful spot to work on my nature lessons. Then hopefully next year, I can get my business going. I believe that God is going to bless it.

I was exhausted yesterday, but don't know why. It may have been the weather, or it may have just been because I've been so busy lately. But, all I got done was filling the spreader 1x, and doing some stuff for LF. Didn't take long. But then again, I did help JT w/a nature program at a library. Today, however, is going to be different.

I have the farrier coming this morning. I want to get to the farm way early so I can have some stuff done B4 he get there. If at all possible, I want to have the spreader work done. Then, after he's been there and gone, I'm going to tackle the hay stall. I'm borrowing my brother's truck tomorrow and my niece is going to help me. We're going to get wood that I need and I hope the fencing for the chickens. I'm also going to pick up my gates and bring them out to the farm. Then, once we have everything, we'll get something to eat, then work on the run-in. I'm hoping w/her help, I can get the stalls done as well as the hay stall. If we have time, I'll unload the hay and stack it in the stall. I don't know that she can really help w/stacking it. She's petite, so I don't know that she could even pick up a bale! But, she may be able to at the very least help pull the cart, which would save me some. So, we'll see.

Don't think we "petite" gals can't work! With aging it has become harder to lift those really big bales but, I find that I can get them up there by leveraging the weight on another bale & walking them up. Besides, two can lift one pretty well.

I don't think she's fit enough to do it. If she was cleaning stalls, moving feed, moving hay, etc., she'd probably be fine. But, I don't want to hurt her.

I didn't quite have the spreader work done when the farrier got there, so I had to finish afterwards. Once I was done all that, I started on the hay stall. I was hoping it wouldn't be as bad as the rest of the run-in. Well, I didn't get done. I'm about 1/3 of the way done. So, I don't think I'll get the hay moved tomorrow. But at least I can do the work I need to do to it.

And progress is good. I should have the hay stall done and the hay all in by Monday. Then, I can start on the chicken area. I'm hoping I can have quite a bit of it done by next Friday. If hubby has to work on Saturday, I'll have more time to work on it.
