I am, to a point. I really appreciate the help that LF gave me. I would have never been able to get the fence around that post w/out her help. I'm not staying as late though, the rest of the week. So, I'll get done what I can by 2:00 pm everyday, then head home. Of course on Friday, I'll be going back. We have a riding club meeting, and I plan on spending the night in my tack shed.

Abi, you ever come out this way, I'll take you riding. RU has a paint that anyone can ride, no matter how experienced. (Of course, for a really experienced rider, she's not as much fun!)

Well, my day almost started out as planned. I didn't leave quite as early as I wanted, but was still able to get out to the farm B4 7. I fed my guys, then scooped some poop. I just didn't get all of it up B4 I had to leave. I was supposed to work until 12:00, and I almost managed to get done then. But my boss had some questions at the last minute, so it was 12:20 B4 I left.

It was a beautiful day today, and I would have much rather been riding Misty, but since I couldn't, instead I rode my bike. I'm riding back to the farm and realize I don't have my gloves on. These gloves aren't real expensive, but they're leather, and work well for riding, and they fit me like a glove. No problem, I figure I left them in my pocket, wouldn't be the first time. I get to the farm. KN is there, it's lunch time I figured I'd go down to where she is and eat lunch w/her. She's not down there. She calls, says she's over w/RU, and could I please look in the tack shed (RU's) and see if there's a big halter in there. I get back on my bike, and ride up to her her tack shed. B4 I get off, I check my pockets, no gloves. Great, I figure I must have dropped them when I left. No problem, I'll just call my boss and ask her to check B4 her dog finds them. I get off my bike, and find one glove hanging off of it. Great, that means my glove could be any place between the farm and my job. I look for a halter, find just one, call KN and tell her to meet me at the road. I get back on my bike, stop long enough to give her the halter, and go looking for my glove. I found it-right where I park my bike!

I go back to the farm. It's getting late and I had stuff to do. I figure I had to at least get the electric hooked up. I needed to put a couple of holders in place, but had to drill holes for them. Yesterday, I couldn't find a drill bit, so it didn't get done. I brought a couple w/me so I could check the size. The one seems to be perfect. So I get started. While I'm working on the first one, I notice a truck and trailer coming down the street. And on the trailer is all these really nice looking RBs. I wasn't the only one to notice them. I see Licorice's head come up. She's staring at the trailer. Then, she whinnies! I swear, it sounded like she said YUUUUMMMMMM!!!!!! As soon as the trailer goes by, her head goes back down.

I get the holders in place. Now, I need to figure out what to do w/the charger. The charger I'm using for now is just a small one. It runs on 2 D batteries, and is what I normally take camping. I wasn't sure if it would be powerful enough, but decide to take a chance. Only problem being, it has a post that sticks into the ground. And, that's broken off. I'm trying to figure out how I can put it up when I remember it also has a place where you can hang it. I put a nail in the brace, hang it on there, and start getting everything hooked up. My phone rings. It's my boss. She had a question. I answer her question, hang up and get started again. My boss calls again w/another question, I answer that, she keeps talking, I'm finally able to get off the phone. I get everything hooked up. In the meantime, Licky has come over to the fence. And, she pokes her head in between the fence and the wire. I told her, you'd better move. I'm getting ready to see if the electric works. She just looks at me. So, I decide to test it. I turn the electric on. It worked. I don't think Licky will be putting her head thru there again.

I take my tester (not Licky), and test the fence in a couple of different places. It's working all the way from the gate to the lane to the road! I look up. Stormy has once again let himself out of the parking area. So, I take another piece of the wire, as well as a handle, turn off the electric, and work to see if i can string up a temporary wire across the parking area. I get one up, and test it. It's working. I turn it back off and take it down, go and get Stormy, put him where he belongs, put the wire back up, and go and turn on the electric. Then I check that wire, it's working!

I had a couple of things in RU's shed that she asked if I could take out. She's trying to clean it. Now that KN is leaving my tack shed, I figured I could put them in there. The only reason I didn't have them in there was because of KN. One is a chair. She keeps using it, and I don't WANT her to use it. She has her own, but will leave it outside, then when it gets all wet, she'll get MY chair out, and for get to put it away. The other is an easy up type shelter. She used to have one, but left it up, and it got destroyed. I didn't want her to know I have it because I didn't want her to do me a "favor", and set it up. It will only go up when I WANT it up. I'm able to get them up on the supports.

By now, it's later than I had planned on leaving. I figure I'm leaving later than I'd planned to anyway, I'm going to clean part of my tack shed. I do, and finally leave. It's closer to 3:00 than 2:00.

I get home, check on my incubator, throw a load of clothes in the washer, go up and start cleaning. I didn't get far when I decided I felt like playing the piano. I wanted to play Moonlight sonata. I have it in 2 books. My daughter has moved both books! I play some hymns, then decide to work on my bathroom. I'm working on that and my hubby calls. He worked later, is just getting done, do I want to go out and eat. Of course, I say yes, I just had a couple of things to do. I finish what I'm doing in the bathroom, then take the clothes out, hang them, then feed the animals. I get done just in time.

We go out. When we come home, I get some eggs out and hard boil them. Then I get some potatoes, and cook them up. Tomorrow I'll be making potato salad for a cookout I'm going to. While the potatoes and eggs are cooking, I work on dishes. I get done w/them at about the same time the eggs and potatoes are done. I get both in the fridge, then go out, give the goats some water, and check my clothes. They're not completely dry. I take down just what's needed for the morning, check the chickens for eggs come in and get a shower. So, can I relax now?

Get that CNA job, save your money, then take a nice, relaxing vacation.

I do think animals "say" things....you just were able to translate for her today.

It was funny! I had to stop what I was doing to laugh! She's a brat, but I love her anyway.
