I gotta go today at 11:30

I am freaking out. I never minded going, but the last few years I can barely drag myself there...irrational anxiety. Weird cause they never scared me all these years, but lately I can't stand going.......I cracked a tooth or cracked some filling in a big tooth in back....now I have to go
AND
I
DON"T
WANT
TO
GO

someone SAVE me...LOL

UGH

this day is crap..LOL

FC use my logic.

Its just an adventure.

Gee, I have not seen Dr. XX in forever, can't wait to find out how things are.

This will not hurt.

Think how good I will feel when its all over. I won't have that bothersome broken tooth when I return.

Sure am glad I have (Pick one) (a) Dental Insurance (b) The money to pay for this

And last but by no means least - What a wonderful gift I am giving myself. Healthy Teeth.

:barnie I hate going to any Dr.

thanks 2dream

it does help to think about it in logical terms like that.

:barnie

I wonder why I never was worried and now I am? Boy we sure have stages in life don't we.....I remember breezing thru bridgework and root canal and all that and today for some reason I got the heart flutter/scared thing happening.

I know I will survive...:bun

I honestly don't have a clue how Tony suffered thru that heart cath. I think they would have to sedate me days in advance..LOL

I take 2 valium and a Percocet. Then I have him give me Nitrous. I have anxiety attacks from them filling my mouth up. Ever since I got asthma at age 30. When they put that rubber thing in my mouth I feel like I can't breathe.

Ask the doctor for nitrous. A lot of people do it.

I should ask about that...thanks for reminding me because I had that when I was younger and had a root canal. I liked the floaty feeling.....and yes I hear you loud and clear, the gag, too much in the mouth with hard times to swallow etc. drives me nuts.

thanks BD

Not being able to swallow really gets me. I do love the smell of burning teeth though.

I love my dentist. Wife and I started seeing him about 3 years ago. On my very first visit, I explained to him that I had bitten my very first dentist when I was 6 years old, and if he hurts me in ANY way shape or form, he would be another notch in my toothbrush. :ep

Whenever I have to have ANY kind of dental work that is beyond a cleaning, he gives me Halcyon. I take it about an hour before my appointment. It requires that I have a driver, and I have to take the rest of the day off, but by gosh I sure don't remember ANYTHING that happens while I am in the chair. :gig :gig

SHOW ME THE DRUGS!! :clap :clap
