It could have been much worse! Every so once in awhile, someone will leave a gate opened at the farm, or the horses will bust thru the fences. (After all, the grass is greener on the other side of the fence. ) Then we have to round up horses and clean up the mess they make if they get in the barn, plus watch them for colic if they've gotten into the feed. One time, a visitor to the farm left a side gate opened to the field where my horses are-they cut thru "my" field to the house, this was a gate near the house. All of "my" horses (mine plus the ones I care for for RU) ended up at a neighbors house. We had to get a trailer to bring them all home.
