Considering that the regulars eat an entire burger like that quite often, and knowing where that meat most likely came from - and the bread. Then they wash it down with a couple of beers. Ah huh.
I read something on another site today that gave me pause - some people honestly think it doesn't matter what you eat. I was incredulous when I read that.

And this particular sandwich uses fried chicken instead of bread.

Wow.

Ahh...the KFC sandwich. You can get that with grilled chicken instead of unhealthy breaded.

I think if you really like that stuff you should eat it once in a while.
We all know that animal fats are death to your arteries but as long as you don't do it all the time, your doctor shouldn't give you too hard of a time. I actually like sprouts and tofu, and if I found out they were bad for me, I would still want to have them once in a while. Ya gotta live a little.
We all do not know that animal fats are death to our arteries, some believe that, but it's been shown to be untrue, and many cites have been given to the research why that isn't true. It's industry spin. Properly raised animal fat does not cause us health issues - it's the garbage they pass to us as food that does, and that includes animals raised on unnatural diets.

Food should be treated humanely before you eat it. It's just good karma. Fast food beef- or probably any meat that is "cheap"- isn't good karma.

Well, it is what my doctor tells me. In any event I will eat meat but not that stuff from the supermarket or the fast food industry. I will eat grass fed pastured beef from a small somewhat local farmer. I kinda have to know the name of the farmer before I will eat the meat.

Good plan :D

We are getting half a pig soon, and while I can't afford entirely pastured meat yet, I do know the farmer and can see the farm anytime I want. I know it is cruelty free, farm raised and non-cafo. It's a start.
