Right now I might be talked into accepting those people, dogs and plants included. Backstory: before we moved to the farm DH did some business with a guy and left him with a large sum owing, which the client's been paying off over the last few months. Today DH emailed him to remind him that there is still a large sum outstanding, only to be told that the client has a different (substantially smaller) amount in mind and tough luck, he's not paying the full amount, he's paying what he thinks he owes and we'll just have to take it. And there is not a darn thing we can do about it. I'm thinking about the many hours of hard work we put into that project (up to 12 hours a day), that the money we're losing now was going to keep us going for at least two months, which makes this farm selling rather urgent... MIL is broke, DH can't work here, we can't leave MIL alone on the farm, we can't move before we sell the farm, we're anxiously waiting to hear something, anything from the agent... We'll be fine as soon as we sell, but we need to do it quickly now
@sumi maybe the jack russells will be real mellow... or they could go after the chickens cause they have the munchies, one just never knows. this work out for you, don't know when or how but it will. stay strong
Thanks @goatgurl I am trying to stay optimistic, but yesterday was a bit rough. I'm still feeling a bit numb, probably just my mind trying to make sense of everything. The year + preceding our current situation hasn't been easy for us. It will be such a relief to go home and you know, start fresh?
@sumi i have all kinds of platitudes "this to shall pass", "what doesn't kill you makes you stronger", blah, blah, blah. sometimes you just have to trust God things will work out. hugs
