It's Watts Bar Lake - been there many times, just not so far north. I am probably about an hour-hour 1/2 south of Kingston. It looks like a nice campground.

We've not gone yet, but probably will sometime in September. We've actually looked at trading up to a Class A, since DS is going to race more next year. With a Class A, we could pull the enclosed trailer and stay right at the tracks.

Would you be interested in a 38ft. Wilderness AX6 quad slide 5th wheel? LOL!!

If you get a chance, google Indian Boundary. It's a state run campground and is rated as one of the best in TN. They have power, but you have to carry your water. They have the cleanest bath houses I've been in. The lake is man-made and no motor boats are allowed, great place for the kiddos to swim, too. It's very peaceful and serene, no cell service either. Hopefully, we'll get there a couple of times this year.

I hope ya'll have a great time.

Hey darlin', glad to see you are hanging in there! We have had some wicked thunderstorms here too. Collapsed our chicken run.....grrrrr.

How often do you milk your goats? Once or twice a day?

Now I have to work hard to bank up my luxury money again...blew most of it on my trip..LOL--gas...OUCH!

working hard making tons of soap for orders. wow, I can not stay up on inventory. with Christmas coming I must must must get ahead of the game big time! orders will be thru the roof cause customers and stores are telling me everyone wants it for presents. I can't wait!!!!!

will post more later...no time...got to get tons of laundry done. wind is wild out there and great day for stuff to flap on the line..LOL

Nicole in pre-school today. WA HOO!!!! she is thrilled to be back with her friends, can't wait to learn to write words and all....and I have time to work and get things done so much faster! Win win for all.

Hope everyone is doing well!! :)

Vacations are such a doubled edged sword. LOL Work like a dog to get ready to go, work like a dog catching up when you get back.

I guess the change of scenery and rest time in between are worth it though. LOL

Sounds like you had fun.
In no time at all Nicole will be joining us here typing away, giving away all your secrets.

I am totally understanding your take on this crazy weather. Its crazy all over. We too should be having 100 degree days. Nope, lows in the low 60's:ep - For Mississippi. Whats up with that? I should be praying for rain and heat relief right now.

Sounds like you all had a great relaxing time...but like Wanda says, now the hustle to make up lost time.

Congrats on the soap orders though, that is great news.

Be sure to share some pics of your vacation if you have time :)

haven't posted in here for a while.

have a sick goat. she isn't off feed but eating much less, acting puny etc. hitting her with some meds. hopefully all will be fine. (looked out the kitchen window and little sick goat is alive and walking--that is a good sign for the day...lol)

gotta bush hog around my 2 barns. stupid grass so high it is getting on my nerves. this will be the last before next year.

gotta mow the yards too...hopefully it will be the last now also.

tired of mowing now..LOL

gotta finish the pool filter within the next few days. don't want to cut it too close.

top priority is pool and finish mowing.

everything going good.

have cut out alot of produce to be planted for next early spring in the fields. it is dramatic. it will make the early spring workload SO MUCH easier. less money at the markets but I don't care. it is time to slow down and I am taking true drastic actions to do this.

have my 100 chickens for sale to Chuck but he hasn't called back. Hmm...been 3 weeks since Tony has left a few messages. Hmmm....so now I have to put them in the paper. I want that 100 chickens gone and gone soon!!!! So gotta get that ad in the paper and finish this downgrade in the chicken dept.

Tony's job doing great but they decided to close the whole week of Thanksgiving. They never do that in the 17 years he has been there. So it is OK....but goes to show every company has to do its part.

And he was informed for Christmas shut down they are extending it for one more week. Usually they close for 2 weeks, full shut down, but this year they are doing 3 weeks. (he will have sign up so it is cool also)---but I don't know if I can stand him for 3 weeks. 2 is doable, 3 is pushing it..HA HAHA

need a new vacuum. I hate the one I own but I don't want to spend money on a new one cause I have this one. But I hate it...LOL......I hate when I want something....and I don't want to spend the money. So on the fence waiting for sales but it seems they never go on sale. oh well...

cold here now. rainy for the last few days. need sun before I go insane.

not sure if I want to attack the Christmas decorations yet. Tony got down my music box gingerbread house from the closet. Plays a song every hour on the hour and the little doors open up and the music men pop out. Nicole is fascinated by it...LOL...and now she is begging to start to decorate. But my gut won't let me decorate so early. Anyone decorate this early? Hmm...might make that a thread.

not much more. the usual stuff.

everyone have a great day and be warm. chilly here, time for a jacket! ugh --and socks! :)

Busy girl.

I can't help you with the decorations- I don't decorate at all. It's just so much work for so little return. I stopped years ago; and finally we gave all of our holiday stuff to the Goodwill. I feel free. Sometimes I will hang a wreath; but no tree, no stuffed or hanging things,no lights. Nothing to spend a whole precious day off putting away.

I hear ya.

before Nicole came--she is almost 5 yr old now---I only had a tree.
rare I would even put up a wreath and maybe just "something" outside like my green porch light...LOL....that was it!

Now with her I am thrown into decoration time...yippee....not.....well I enjoy it but yes, the work involved in taking it down is never fun!
