So it's been over a month since I posted here. There will be some changes in my life soon, not judging yet if they are good our bad yet. Only time will tell.

Happy summer, everyone.

Good to see ya! I'm glad for summer, cuz I looooove summer. However, I do not love major heat and humidity so it's sort of a conundrum for sure!

Hope you're staying cool and really hope your changes are the good kind.

One foot in front of the other, one day at a time.

Had a cookout last night with my neighbors, one of them brought fresh scallions from her parents' garden, picked that morning. Dash of salt, mmmmmmmmmm, down the hatch raw. I do miss getting fresh veggies from the garden.

I guess monthly updates are my thing right now. The weather is still erratic here. 85 this time last night 68 now. Had a cookout with some friends Saturday night in an on/off drizzle that made it feel like October.

Talked a lot about critters and gardens and such - I still have little desire to get back into lifestyle. I still cook a lot from scratch and I always bring more home from the farmers' market than I need.

Still trying to figure things out I guess

I wonder sometimes how I'd feel if I didn't live the way I live....would I miss it? Would I trade the money I spend on critters and feed for mani's and pedi's? Would I be happy buying organic instead of growing it? What in the world would I do with all my extra time? I dunno.... I'm afraid I'd just sit on my butt and learn to enjoy being lazy, lol!

So, you don't miss it at all? And - what DO you do with all your extra time?

Right now, outside my day job, I put in 50-80 hours of volunteer time per month. I am trying once a month to take a day trip to a park somewhere to hike and take pictures.
Not a whole lot of "free" time. :)
