Awesome on volunteer work! FEM, I too wonder what I would do if I wasn't wrangling critters, canning, cooking, gardening, baking, or working around in the shop all the time!

Well, it's about putting your talents to work, I guess. Some of the skills needed for growing things applies to growing youth, too. Patience, perseverance, planning ahead, getting a good plan together, reacting to ad-hoc situations with your knowledge and experience, enjoying seeing the fruits of your labor. You be surprised at the parallels.

I don't think any of you I know here would sit around and do nothing. :D

You're right. I wouldn't even last a week. One year I had to take my DD to summer camp, then pick her up and take her to another location for a week. It was cheaper for me to just camp for a week-by myself. I was going nuts!

It cooled off nicely here last night and is supposed to be cooler all week. I'm all for that!

We broke all time record low last night....50 degrees in Lexington.
