49 days and counting.

sounds like mid-next week, either us upper tier folks or our southern friends are going to get hammered again with another big winter storm. Our New England friends are going to get hit either way.

At least here, Lake Erie is "officially" frozen over with 90% ice coverage. No lake effect snow for a while :celebrate

That's a cool picture. I don't think we have any rain coming soon. The rain we got last month was unusually early. Now it's dry and we are having a mild Santa Anna which means the winds are coming from the east. Warm and dry over the desert.

I hope we get some more rain soon.

Still have 3 medium heads of cabbage of the five the DW picked up last week. I think I may go to go look for my small crock and get some 'kraut started.

hmm..should I?

I would, you can never have enough sauerkraut. It's better to get it done and store it after than vise versa. I hate using old cabbage for kraut. It really changes the end result.

:sick I found the crock :sick

Evidently DW was going to surprise me with a batch of 'kraut last fall? I think she forgot where she stashed it. It's soaking in bleach water right now.

:sick :sick :sick

I love her for trying, I'm not going to say anything. She's out working today, so my plan is to get it cleaned up before she gets home.

shhhh.....

You should make a new batch, stash it in the same place.

Then ask her where the crock is. Find it, and discover the best sauerkraut you have ever had.

Wa La, wife is converted to the dark SS side after she becomes the best sauerkraut maker ever!!

Mwahhhhh!!!!
