Taking all next week off from work. At the end of the day today, will be packing up the rest of my home office. Definitely getting real.

And the wife bought flower bulbs to plant. Not many, but I have no place to put them

Yep it is real! Woo Hoo! (easy for me to say since I'm not the one moving)

Bulbs - can't most be refrigerated until planted? I'm not a flower planter so I dunno for sure - OR - a nice big planter to go by the front door? Or in someone else's Christmas stocking?

I think I will wrap them in packing paper and store in a box in the garage. Or find somewhere to stash them in the ground over winter.

Don't need curve balls at this juncture

When moving cats, butter their paws. They won’t like it. They will immediately go into grooming mode to get that icky stuff off their feet. It relaxes them and they are home. Learned this from an old English lady.

Hard to believe I moved into my apartment my senior year of college with only one carload of stuff. Lol

when i went away to college i had some boxes of books and a few other things but it all fit in the trunk of the car. my Mom and sister-in-law drove me up, dropped me off and said goodbye and left in a few minutes. later on i had some things mailed to me (including in the winter a dozen frozen egg rolls from our favorite chinese food place that we happened to have lunch at today - by the time they get to me up north they were still cold enough to be ok) and cookies of course. :)

i am so used to living in small spaces that i'm still mostly in one room here with only a few dishes in the kitchen that i consider "mine" and a few boxes in storage up on some shelves in the garage.

Eldest and a friend are coming up from Columbus. Means I need more prep work finished today!!!

Taking my first break this morning, sipping coffee looking out the kitchen sliding door.
