DO YOU SEE IT????!!!!! Quick get out there! I hear that it is disappearing again this afternoon......
I think we Nutmeggers (those from CT) need to drive to OH to see the sun. 5 days in a row of rain! Ick!! It's trying to peek out right now but we know it's only a tease.

I see only a warm glow in the sky, no defined orb yet :D There is clear blue sky to the N-NW, though. Busy next couple of days with the kids activities, so I took the day off to help out the wife with domestic stuff so she doesn't have to worry about it.

I did let the hens out, they ran straight here to hang out, get they are tired of walking in mud.

That's about what we've got here. A faint glow behind the overcast skies. Sigh. The good news is they tell us we will see the sun this weekend. I wonder if we will recognize it?

Those are my 3 yr old Barred Rocks. The RIR is Colette, one I adopted last fall. She's my baby - when I integrated them this winter, she got bullied, so she gets the premo-treats.... :love

We have about 15 Barred Rocks right now (still growing, so they look kinda funky right now), 5 Silver Laced Wyandottes and 10 golden comets. Altho now that they're getting bigger it looks like we might have some cornish crosses. We got the SUPER cheap at TSC when they were clearing out their stock. I really didn't want that kind but cheap is cheap I guess!

I'm really liking the barred rocks...so pretty and laid back. Although I think we might soon have a "pet" too. One of the golden comets (or whatever the heck they are) was getting really picked on. To the point of lots and lots of bleeding all over the pin :( So we took her out and put her in a box in the house to heal up and get a little bigger, but now she escapes from the box and follows us around the house. Her box is in the bathroom and yesterday morning I looked down to find her on my foot staring up at me! If only you could potty train a chicken.... I think this one will be getting the "premo-treats" too.

The BR's do well through the winter here for me. Low maintenance.

We left the back doors open one day as we were bringing in groceries. Colette walked right in like she owned the place! Two dogs and a hamster are enough for us in the house!

Beautiful day on Saturday. :D
Got most of the lawn mowed, the grass around the trees in the front trimmed.
The pullets are out of the garage and now next to the creepy meats (fence built)
The weeds on the patio are in the process of dying (had to resort to Roundup)
Got the vehicles washed (bonus!).
The garage is cleanup a bit (have a ton of kids stuff, now outgrown I need to get rid of).
Cool HS Choir concert last night

DW went out with my mom, and brought home a couple of flats of flowers for the front flower beds. :p

The garden was drying out nicely in the sun yesterday, but was still too wet. Raining again this morning. :th
