Just wait until she has her permit, and YOU have to go out w/her! It's amazing I have any hair or nails left! I could NOT have handled more than the 2 I had.

Your system must be different from ours. In Jersey, they can't get their permit until they're 16, and then, only thru a driving school. This is what they need for a permit.

# Visit an MVC Agency with a licensed driving instructor
# Pass the knowledge test. You can study by reading MVC's Driver Manual
# Pass the vision test
# Bring a primary 4-point ID (civil birth certificate, US Passport, US Department of State birth certificate, US adoption papers, certificate of naturalization or certificate of citizenship)
# Show proof of enrollment in a driver training course
# Present a signed letter with parental or guardian consent

Once they're done w/the driving school, they can drive w/someone else who's at least 21, and has had a license for 3 years.

It is, for those under 18
- parental consent to get a learner's permit as early as 15 and a half (good for a year) (DD already had a state id for plane travel)
- pass a vision and written test to get the learner permit
- "x" hours of in-class lecture, "y" hours of instructor driving
- pass a field test and parking test after age 16
- ON THE ROAD!

(still a lot of open farm country in Ohio!)
