May have to take you up on that! DS last night said he wanted a bigger garden next year. DW didn't scream "NO", so we might be able to make something happen!

You must bring those jams, however.... :drool

It's a deal!!! :)

Honestly, this is my plot for northern Colorado. LOL! I won't have much yard, so I'll help others with THEIR garden and storing at the end of the year and then I'll run off with foods. WOOT!

This is why *I* count Halloween as year's end. Then I'll be in 2012 and the rest of you all catch up in Jan. The Oct to Jan is just non existent dead time. Since it doesn't exist in your here-now. *beams*

How can the year not end at the end of harvest?

Vulcan-esque logic at it's finest! :) My only thought is I would like to see the new year start with Spring!

October/November for me is get caught up with the firewood, get everything stored for the winter, and December is to begin dreaming for the Spring!

I could see that. Guess it depends on if you feel things start when you wake up or stretch out to rest :)

Most people say the day ends when you go to sleep and starts when you get up, so what are those sleeping hours??

Just a little freight train of cells in a row moving SW to NE (right over us). No lightning or thunder, just ice cold rain and pea-size hail.

Must be the edge of the cold front, but this just bizarre.

Wow, it's been a while since I've been on here for any length of time. Where has this month gone?

Lot's of stuff still undone, but I am getting a new shed in about two weeks that will be converted to a coop. I just don't have the time to build it myself. I do have to get the ground foundation area ready, and want to lay some drain tile to try to keep the runs drier that the old runs this summer. Maybe tomorrow afternoon.

Lot's of "help" on things from my FIL  this week. I love him dearly, but have now more messes to clean up. He thought my flower beds needed cleaned out (fine, they did), but he dumped a trailer full of crown vetch (in seed) on the clean spots in the garden - you did want to mulch that in, didn't you?
