Thanks, Freem, for hopping in, you can keep the 'skeeters.

It appears one of my new hens has decided to become a productive member of the flock. Found a small egg in the nesting boxes tonight! Finally!

Garden shut down in is process. Watching the leaves begin to turn with a little bit of sadness.

We had a new shed built, I'm in the process of converting it to "real" chicken coop. We'll see how that goes... :hide

Stupid chickens. Egg counts are way down. One of my new hens plopped an egg out in the run and before DS can get to it, two of my older hens begin to devour it. They may be "takin' the ride" with the meaties on Tuesday. :rant

Okay, here's what I've been working on since this beautiful streak of sunny days began, the foundation for my new coop/shed. I have terrible muddy clay, I want things to be dry. Wave bye-bye to the meaties in the upper left, say hello to the processor on Tuesday!!!!!

Once I get the foundation area level and ready, this goes on it.

ha ha ha :smack That's where I usually park my car, and it makes for some seriously hard lay-ups driving the hoop with the basketball. Aren't you in Kansas yet?

That looks like a great set up! I love especially how you planned ahead with that gravel....
