Your ricotta is making me drool here.
I'd still love to have goats for the milk but after coming close to actually getting some I panicked. We're getting a puppy soon and adding goats as well as puppy just seemed like too much all at once. Baby steps indeed! :D
You're inspiring me to get back to making jams and jellies. I've given a bunch away as hostess gifts and to my best egg costumers. I need to replenish my supply.
We also just found our long lost dehydrator. I'll be looking for inspiration there too! ;)

FF, I am down to 3 gallons Concord grapes, 1 gallon sliced peaches and 1 gallon strawberries in the freezer. I need to get them out of there - but here in NE Ohio, I have a couple weeks before panic will set in. (no room left in freezer)

Yum . . . peach jam! All my freezer peach jam is gone. Peaches are so expensive around here. Out of 3 trees we planted 3 years ago, one made it. It is full of little peaches.

I hear ya on cleaning out the freezer. I've still got corn, okra, sweet potato and pumpkin in there as well as lots of tomato sauce.

It is really nice to sit on the deck in the evenings and watch the hens scratch ... makes the days problems just melt away.
