The back is just the same brown as the squirrel. The black lines around the edges just look like a very close together whip stitch :idunno and the others I didn't look at real close. They might be a really close together zig zag or something similar about 1/4 to 1/3 of an inch wide to give the outlining effect. Sewing isn't my thing so I don't really know how she did it. It is machine done though.

Putting the dolls up for sale sounds like a great idea. I'm glad you have something like that to sell. I find it interesting what people collect. I've never liked dolls much either, and my daughter did not either. She preferred stuffed animals.

I hope the consignment store gets a good price for them for you!
