I would love for you to send it LOL. Maybe I can find some seed somewhere and plant me a little.
I would be thrilled to send you some IF you promise to plant it in a big pot or something.

This stuff is like giving your best friend a colony of termites to play with!! I am certain it is a VERY useful plant, but I pulled out TWO wheelbarrows full out of an approximately 10 x 10 area over the last couple of days. NOBODY needs this much rennet!

They're MY chickens according to MyT Man...

But apparently he tells everyone about them and talks about them all the time at work. Tonight when he got home, he told me that one of his customers "found out" about my 6 that didn't lay and that the chicks we got were only 8 weeks old. What is your wife going to do without eggs? the customer asked. So when MyT Man got out to his truck after work, there was a cage with two hens in it and a note that he is to bring the cage back to Home Depot next weekend and the weekend after that there will be two more!

So... now I've got 14 -10 week olds, two hens, and two more on the way :ep. I asked him what the new ones looked like and all he could say was "They're ugly and they better lay eggs."

Well, got home last Monday and had two American game hens running around the yard. I thought they were pretty, but very flighty. Apparently they'd never free ranged before. The neighbor helped DH put them in the yard and they just let them loose rather than locking them up... being flighty Julie got ahold of one so it was missing some feathers and looked rough, and was even more flighty.

Okay, this isn't going to work so I put an ad on CL and had them sold in 5 minutes. Thank goodness it was the perfect buyer too. She has a "flock of wild chickens" that she lets run on the back forty for bug control. Try explaining to a perfect stranger on the phone why you are selling two hens after having them for less than a day, yes one is missing quite a few feathers and I can't tell if she is injured. Can you come get them now? No, I can't catch them. We'll have to wait until after dark. Do they know where to roost? No but we'll get them with a net... Oh, and by the way, they come with 5-10 week old roosters .

So I call her after dark to let her know that I just saw them go to roost on the porch swing and should be easy to catch. Great she's on the way and should be here in 15 minutes. 5 minutes later I go back out to bring the cage of roosters to the front yard... One of the hens is now in the shed -quick lock the door. The other hen is ... 15 feet up in our large tree. So with a stranger walking through my dark back yard with a net and holding the ladder and me with a 5 foot pole, we managed with the neighbor hollering if I needed help or if there was an intruder...

So I get home tonight after the craziest work week ever and MyT Man says... guess what? I have an appointment with Angie for you to go see her house and her chickens because she wants to give you three....

MyT Man called me at 2pm to say Angie was going to watch the derby so not to meet her, the chickens were coming home with him.

Good deal, I reworked the run so they could be protected from the dogs for a few days. So he got home and had a tiny box in the back of the truck. His first words were, I am so disappointed and so sorry. I thought I had eggs for you Monday.

He misunderstood and thought we were getting 3 laying hens and that I'd have fresh eggs in the coop Monday morning when I get home. Nope... I've got 3 little 5 or 6? week olds that will be hens in about 3 months . Poor guy. He really did feel bad.

So I stuck them out in the coop and first thing the little red one takes on my rooster and they did the rooster thing. So, maybe I'll have 2 hens out of the deal but looking at the thickness of their legs, I think I ended up with 2 roos and 1 pullet. I think it's bad karma coming back to bite me for sending those 5 roos with the craigslist lady last week...
