Oh, Sumi, thank you! The one thing I do sometimesmiss with my minis is playing with the foals. They are so tiny and cute, cute, cute! Imagine having 15 or 20 to play with! :D Fun times.

Here's a memory of mine....grandkids visiting...maybe 1997ish

:love I can imagine! I did manage to pet the little one a bit before mom chased me off. Gosh, it's a cute little thing and so tiny!

FEM, I love pan fried onions! I can eat them as a side dish LOL. And while I love fresh breads -- not the loaf of wonder -- I rarely eat breads any more. Maybe get a loaf of Dave's 21 seed type that I end up putting in freezer to eat a slice or two on occasion. Goats love it to! :D See where that goes?

Maybe you should start your fast earlier in the day so you could kinda skip dinner and have your cream/coffee in AM. Besides a good breakfast is important for the day (so they say). If DH is a gotta have dinner guy, fix him up with something you preplanned. As to wine, I've almost not had any in over a month. Just one glass last week -- something I was eating called for it, ya know? Just added an extra taste dimension.

Is the neighbor whose freezer died the one who helps butcher? Yes, yes! Have him go to work. Hey, you have plenty of them, right? Isn't "a bird in the hand" and "a pig in the freezer" kinda close?

Gotta get back outside -- came in to put a couple gal milk on the counter to get to room temp. Want to spin out for cream later and it is lunch time. Guess I MAY make some quick cheese tonight, too. She's providing more than I need. LOL

AND -- huge AND for me....if I breed all my does this year I will be looking at 20-30 kids next year :ep I am going to feel like you do. That is a huge number!! It just struck me today like a 2X4 hit me. I do sell mine! I have a good auction close by and use it. :clap No people to wait on or help load, not show. Maybe a tiny less on a special animal but, overall, good $$. The adult, trained & in milk, I post on CL. They sell nicely in Spring.

Oh I am jealous of you. I can have stand trained, registered , tested does in milk and can't sell them. So hard to sell here.

The minis are so cute!! I love them!! Now I need some, lol. They're crazy expensive here, not to mention the cost of harnesses, etc. Oy...

That is the one! He's great - but super busy all the time so I hate to ask him for help. I'd rather offer him free meat in exchange. Works for both of us.

I sold milkers earlier in the year - two of them to the same lady. She loves them and I'm content knowing they went to a great home.

I'm not sure I'm going to do much more breeding this year. I do have a couple of matches I want to try - but not worried about much more. (at least that's what I'm thinking today, lol) Ya'll know how wishy-washy I am. I like babies!

Lol no worries, we can't afford it. If we get a horse/pony it'll be big enough to ride and work on the farm. Minis are cute though!

Oh they are! There is a traveller's horse on some empty building plots not far from my house (they put their horses wherever there is grazing for them). DS discovered the horse and is visiting it almost daily, I sometimes go with him. It's the sweetest animal! She is so chilled with him and they adore each other. If I had space for her I'd seriously consider approaching the travellers and asking if they'd sell her. I've grown quite fond of her myself!
