We've been talking today about alternative transportation. Talked about riding part-way in with one of his co-workers. It would mean he'd be at the mercy of the other persons schedule. Also - he's not close....about half-way between us and the job. Another idea is light rail. He would still have to drive at least 4/5s of the way to work and then park and catch light rail. The only benefit would be that he'd be able to skip the downtown driving - but he'd still have to brave the crowded freeway system between here and there.

He likes this job, he likes his position, and he likes the salary. It's a rare occurrence when you find a job in the medical field where you like and get along with all of the A-team. They work well together and it's a good fit for him....so unless he can find a work from home job he will probably elect to stay at this position IF he continues to work.

Yippeeee!! Baker Creek Heirloom seed catalog came in today. I'll have trouble putting it down for days! Wasn't really in the garden mood until now.

Cowboy forced me to think of some other shelter options for the horses. He won't let them in the red shed at all...argh! A couple years ago we put a little lean-to off the side of the red shed. That's where I would put round bales because I can't get them in the shed...they won't fit between the support poles. I decided that would be a decent place for the horses if it had a windbreak on the north end. Sooooo - now it does! I put up some support boards and stretched a tarp out and it makes a nice little spot that the horses can use. I've even got some other ideas because for some reason tarps are not permanent, lol. I have some sections of privacy fencing that blew down in Hurricane Ike. We've replaced the fence since then and I have at least 3 or 4 8ft sections of that old fencing. It's been leaning up out there for quite a few years now just waiting for me to have something to use it for. If I can move it (it's HEAVY) I could use it out there. If I can't move it - I might just knock the pickets off and use them separately. It'd sure be a lot easier to move that way! We've got a nice stretch of nice weather coming up so I really want to get some things done.

Hung a hay rack under the little horse shelter - goats love it, lol! But I did see the horses go in there and "own" it so the goats went back to their own hay racks. It has been a drop dead absolutely gorgeous day here. I started this morning in a coat and stocking cap and ended up with just a t-shirt by afternoon. Beee-you-teeee-ful!! Stayed outside almost all day - came inside to watch my Texans redeem themselves...at least they better after their loss last week that broke a 9 game winning streak.

Glad you got those horses taken care of! Silly cowboy!

High is about 54 right now...might have been 55 at the peak.
Glad you had a lovely day
And, it's our anniversary. First year we've remembered it in a while, lol. I played outside and he played inside - nota bad way to spend a day. I guess we'll go out eventually...

Thanks! We've been married 17 years! We've been together since May 2000. He's doing ok - a little worried tonight because he's been having elevated pain today... Thankfully, a healthy dose of Motrin and he's feeling better. :)

Texans WON! (barely, lol) But, a win is a win and I'll take it!
