I also much prefer frozen ground to mud. That is some serious mud! Deliver in the mud? Nah, FEM's more likely to empty out her good towel cabinets for the babies to be dry lol.

She's definitely got quite the udder going! Eek! Babies! Lol

I feel compelled to say that - it's dry in the barn except for some pee spots, lol!

I've got about a gazillion goat towels, lol. Kidding kit is ready. I'll check on her again in a couple hours then hopefully get a great night's sleep and then wake up and start over tomorrow!

She's being crabby and all the other goats are sniffing her butt so something is going on. Ligs still there and no gooey discharge last time I checked...Heck, she may drag this out several more days but with the way her udder has grown today I wouldn't be surprised if she goes tomorrow - but I wouldn't be surprised if she didn't either!

We are in "hurry up and wait" mode.

She does. But, it's not a pretty udder - just big! I'm wondering how many babies are in there! Udder size can be somewhat indicative of litter size. The body knows what to prepare for. I want twin doelings (who doesn't?). My luck it will be trip boys!

Same here!
I didn't spend much time inside today but I got started on it. I probably need more almond flour because my biggest craving is for bread. I could live on bread. I neeeed bread.

For whatever reason I find that I'm kinda tired of heavy meat breakfasts. I love bacon, but I can get tired of bacon and sausage and eggs. I need to find a lighter breakfast that I'm more fond of.

funny, I just posted on my Wahls protocol thread about discovering roasted sweet potato as the perfect breakfast food. I put avocado oil, salt, ancho pepper and …. (uhm I forgot! I think onion powder) on them.

I so need to crack down on my eating habits. Oh I've been not good! Lol. I'm actually sick of meat and sugar lol. I could just eat veggies and fruit right now. Must be what I am lacking! Oops!

Looks like we'll be having New Year babies! I broke usual protocol last night due to the absolute craziness going on around us. Lots of fireworks and lots and lots of gunshots. some idiot blew through hundreds of dollars of ammunition. I was literally fearful about going outside with all the gunfire. But, as nervous as I was - Lucy was totally flipping out. She was a bundle of nerves nd would not calm down with either feed or hay. When I tried to check her ligaments she tried to go over the side of her pen. Soooo.. I checked on her every couple hours during the night. Midnight she was absolutely crazed, 2 am still upset and just a basket case. By 4 am I knew she was going into labor and by 6am she had a little goo. Shes actively pushing now...
